Discrim Posted July 20, 2006 Share Posted July 20, 2006 I been meanin to reply to the last few sets, so I'll do that now...St. Kilda: home's good as is, good to see you largely stood pat. the clash looks great, reminds me of their cross jumpers from a few years back.Port: they need to have this! at the very least, it's about 200% better than the real homes and 100% better than the teal lightning. seriously, those homes need helpSwans: not sure about it, mainly due to the opera house vee having been able to stand on its own. as much as I think your Port set is better than what they currently wear, right now I feel teh opposite about this Swans set, what they have now is better than this IMO. the back of the yoke extends too far down the back, and I feel the full logo instead of just the opera house clutters things up too much. I'd go with a wholly different look for the clash if I were doing this project, but that's just me. I think Discrim is right about the Opera House standing on its own, but the swan V is nice though. Not sure about the numbers overlapping the same coloured bar on the top of the rear. That probably needs sorting.I'd have liked a clash that was a bit different... maybe the more typical Sydney/NSW colour combination (sky blue/dark blue combo) which isn't used in the AFL at present. Gazzzaf Posted July 20, 2006 Author Share Posted July 20, 2006 I see where you're coming from regarding the swans, what I was looking for regarding the yoke was a combination of their current design, the swan motif and the South Melbourne reference (the extended v). Great idea in theory but it proved to be much harder than originally thought. If I get any ideas I'll make the changes and post them again.That aside, I have completed the AFL with my final design being that of Essendon. To me this is the most controversial; being a Bombers fan (in a vague sense) myself, I don't want to see them part with the sash. But with the League administration breathing down their neck over a clash, a second guernsey seems inevitable. In addition, all the other teams in my set have two sets so to do without for only one club makes the set incomplete.My solution? Kept the sash, widened it (as was proposed by the club before) and made the back red. Take note that I don't want to see this really happen but its been done fore the sake of completeness.Edit: I just saw your reply jr and the blue swans sounds like an idea to me.
