FiddySicks
Glad to see Recchi pulled in a cup in what is probably his final season. He has been one of my favorite players for years, especially when he was with Philly. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) HedleyLamarr
For the second time in three years, a Southern team beat a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup. My girlfriend, a native of Canada, doesn't take too kindly to that.....I love it!
KevinMcD
Cam Ward Wins The Conn Smythe and he didn't even play half the games in the regular season So? Patrick Roy played 2 regular season games before winning his first. And Ward isn't the first goalie to win the Conn Smyhte without getting 16 wins.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. I meant it was a good story not the way you thought
Fred T. Jane
Dammit. I hate this team. Hate 'em all you want. The Cup stays in the South!Big Huge Completely out on a Limb Conn Smythe pick- Rod Brind'Amour Crap, the limb broke. Ward was my 1a. choice. I would have given it to both of them. It wouldn't be the first time. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. jkrdevil
Classic Cup Ceremony. Brindy just takes the cup and basically tells Bettman to shut up. Then on the NBC telecast you can hear one of the Carolina players yell out " :censored:ing Right!" out loud while hoisting the cup.

Among them does anybody know they still exist? Does anybody care? Do they even have any fans? The Hurricanes will have plenty of time to ponder the questions as they play in an empty arena, as this Hurricane resembles a light drizzle.http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/tank/nhl/nhl2006.html www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
TBGKon
As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, I'm glad to pass the Stanley Cup off to a fellow Southeast Division foe. CONGRATS HURRICANES!On another note, did anybody see the guy on the ice as the Cup was passed around wearing a Hartford Whalers green jersey? Good to see the Canes history out there. zer0dotcom
A well earned victory, this was one hell of a series. Carolina deserves to be crowned champion. They fought a war against the Oilers and each team they've faced along the way.Well, now that the season is said and done, I'm willing to deam the new NHL a success. It's a more exciting game, its a more open game, and it's based on the skill of your players to win you a Cup, not the ability to clutcha nd grab your way through a game.Enjoy the win Carolina, theres no high quite like it

The regular season had so much excitement, the Olympics were better than expected, and best of all, the Stanley Cup Finals was one for the ages. I truly hope that the ratings were up for tonight's game. This league deserves the attention it wants.
