New Sabres Logo??

If that logo is indeed real, I really hope it was leaked to gauge fan reaction.  Seeing that reaction is overwhelmingly negative, I hope the Sabres have the good sense to go back to the drawing board -- or better yet, 1995.  That would easily solve their problems here.

I've already gotten quite a few emails from people asking me why I wouldn't sell my designs to the Sabres, and why I was asking so much for them, etc. And the truth is I have not heard one word from the club since meeting with them years ago, right after Golisano came in as owner. So, that discussion can end.

I think your Sabres stuff very well might be the best-known concept set around. Just today, while discussing this current logo 'situation', I had two people who don't follow sports logos and have no knowledge of this board send me the link to your site.

It's not a modernization of an old logo... it's a new and hideous mockery of the team's identity.

because people are posting them all over the sabres website forums, and the mods obviously look at it and would talk to the higher ups in the sabres organization and tell them these got out.....and they have done NOTHING about it. if these were real they would snatch them up and hide em away again until september, that tommy g is smarter than most think

As soon as I saw them posted, I saved the images to my computer. Real or fake, no one is going to be able hide them away now.

Heard that call and it had to be one of the dumbest people I've ever heard on the radio.

The guy's logic was that he saw the logo at Wal-Mart and figured the ones on the internet are fake because they were made by someone else who also saw the logo on that shirt at Wal-Mart and decided to whip up his own version and put it online. (Go ahead, read it again, that's actually what he said.)

That guy was either wasted or making it up or pranking the station.

This is one of the very rare cases where I hope the Sabres and the NHL are ( like Chris said ) ' punking ' us. I think the new logo is sharp, but it's not for a hockey team.

I'm not trying to be a d*ck here because I love logos and all, but....its just a logo.....for a hockey team. Its not like its the new Play Station 3 or anything.
