Buffalo Soldiers

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. Here's the logo for my fantasy football team, the Buffalo Soldiers. I won't be able to make any edits unless I find another free trial of Illustrator to download (my first one just expired), but C&C encouraged/appreciated nonetheless.

Hope you like:

It's nice from the eyebrows up. After that, the Buffalo looks like a retirement home bound buffalo.

I see potential in it, just need to change some stuff up like how the Lions logo in this forum transformed for the better.

I disagree. Why does every animal logo have to be fierce and intimidating?

This buffalo seems stoic and thoughtful. Not aggressive, yet still very strong.

Maybe beacuse football teams want to be intimidating?

It is football, not baseball...

(The logo is great, by the way) (*.5)

I agree that the buffalo looks aged. A little bit long in the face I guess, but....

a thoughtful buffalo? what does a thoughtful buffalo ponder?

Perhaps where it means to take a poop next? Dogs have the same look.

I echo Mr. *'s statement that he looks stoic and strong. You can't tell me that that's any less agressive than the Miami Dolphins logo, which is mean yet not overly agressive.

I agree. Look at the Baltimore Ravens logo. I see nothing that really strikes fear into the opposing team when I like at that logo. Not every animal logo has to appear ferocious. It's always a good idea, but not always necessary.
