otherwilds
For the second straight year, the White Sox are waging a campaign to have one of their players become the final addition to the AL All-Star team via Internet balloting. OF Scott Podsednik got in last year, and this time the team is pushing for C A.J. Pierzynski. The White Sox unveiled a slogan and T-shirts Monday that play on one of the most talked-about plays this season. It's "Punch A.J." to encourage fans to vote for the catcher. It's also a reference to him being punched in the jaw by Cubs C Michael Barrett. Team chairman Jerry Reinsdorf was sporting one of the T-shirts before the game. "It's catchy and people remember it," Pierzynski said.
