Twins Concept

Here is my second concept ever. My first one was a Chiefs (favorite football team) concept that i thought i did pretty well on. Now I did a Twins concept (just thought i could clean their set up a bit)

Didn't really change much, so I guess you could call it a tweak.

HOME:

Changes:

Took away the pinstripes.

Changed the hat logo to match the wordmark on the jersey.

Changed the # font.

Changed the font that says "Mauer" so its straight up, but still arched (what's that called again?)

Changed the sleeve patch to the "TC".

AWAY:

Changes:

Took away the pinstripes

Changed the hat logo to the "TC"

Changed the # font.

Changed the font that says "Mauer" so its straight up, but still arched.

Changed the patch to the primary logo.

C&C would be greatly appreciated for this rookie.

I just sort of don't get the "whys" of this concept. To wit,

1. What's your reasoning for taking away the pinstripes? This franchise has worn pinstripes for much of the last 95 years. The Twins franchise even wore pinstriped road uniforms from the get-go, too, lo those 95 years ago.

2. Why make the player name look like the Braves used to? It makes the names harder to read, for two reasons: 1. The letters have to be narrower than regular radial arc lettering; and 2. The arching effect significantly distorts the letter shapes. Is there some reason for making it harder for fans to read the players' names? Plus, the Braves were the last team that the Twins faced in the World Series. Why try to look like them?

3. The old number font was kind of generic. The new number font is even more generic. What led you to choose the new font?

That said, I like your choices on the cap and patch switches. Those are both changes the Twins should make right now.
