CC97 Posted August 1, 2006 Share Posted August 1, 2006 The 1993 Campbell Conference Finals, the 1997 Memorial Cup Semi-Finals, and Halladay's broken leg last season all really bummed me out... 1993 was a the first good Leafs team in a long time, and the first one I was around for, winning the first two rounds in seven games, then going up 3-2 on LA in the semis before losing in OT in game 6, then losing by 1 in game 7 at home... that Habs/Leafs final would've been great1997 was the first time I got to see the Generals do anything decent (I missed the Lindros years by a few months), they won the OHL championship in OT and then made it to the semis of the memorial cup before losing in overtime to Lethbridge... heartbreak.Halladay's broken leg really hurt because we were actually surprisingly in the race at that point, only 4 games out at the All-Star Break with Halladay about to start the All-Star Game and well on his way to his 2nd Cy Young Award... but all of that vanished instantly with a line drive off the bat of Kevin Mench. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Red Sox went to the World Series and the Angels was cursed until 2002. 1991- Matt Barr GW Field Goal in the NFC Finals vs. my 49ers 2000- The Jaguars beat my Dolphins 96-2 in the playoff. My Dolphins blew a 28-pts leads vs the Jets on MNF. 2001- 49ers losing to the Bears and costing themself a home playoff game for being greedy. Sure we would've gotten blown out of the water by the Pats, but we would've been there dammit.Week 2 2003 Preseason...Vick goes down. Nuff said.Watching Mississippi State play football as of late has been depressing. I remember we lost to Maine...on homecoming.
