That is the state seal in the background.Drove up to the Royals game today, saw several of these in Johnson County and said thank god I get to wait another 8 months before I have to have that one. The current standard issue plate used since 2000 is better. I do like the designer plate that is available and wished that was the standard issue plate. I don't know. Webhamster Posted August 14, 2007 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Living on Ontario my whole life (and so near Quebec with a similar design) and thus being so used to plain white plates with blue text, I find that all these colourful plates just seem so, I dunno, alien and weird to me. Lame. Sure they are for the Olympics, but man are they ugly. I think it's a stupid idea as well...are we supposed to adopt these as our new plates for good?
