Lumbergh
I'm watching my Rockies take on the D-Backs, and Jeff Francis is pitching for Colorado. He leaves the game in the 8th inning, with a 2-0 lead. So the Rockies put in Jose Mesa. First thing he does is give up a 3 run jack to Eric Byrnes. Then he hits Louis Gonzales. On the way to first for Gonzales, Mesa starts to talk at him, then he rushes at Gonzales. The benches clear, and Mesa is almost thrown out. And i'm sitting here askihng myself, why he won't retire, and why the Rockies won't get rid of him. You can't come in in the 8th and give up a home run, then almost get ejected. I hate Jose Mesa. See Red
I was at the game. He was being booed pretty bad. Everybody seemed to know that atleast the two inherited runners would score. Not sure why Hurdle didn't keep Francis in. He'd only thrown around 97 pitches. Eh, a win's a win. Second game I've been to where Hawpe's had a game winning single against the D-Backs. FiddySicks
Mesa is the only ballplayer that i would literally cheer for if he ever took a ball off the dome. I HATE Jose Mesa.

tp49
It'd be even nicer if Mesa could take Armando Benitez with him. If both of them faced off in a game in the late innings it would be a contest to see who blew the game first.

Sport
Jose Mesa has been dead to me since 1997. Thanks to him the Indians are the only team to hold a lead in the 9th inning of game 7 and NOT win the world series. The funny thing is is that last night I was watching a show about the 95 Indians that was made in 95. They kept saying how good Jose Mesa was, and I thought wait until he blows the world series then see how good you think he is.

VandyDelphia Mike
While we are piling on Joe Table, let me add that I also dislike the fact that the Phillies employed him as their closer in the waning years of the Vet.Pirates fan, you're next! Scott Schoeneweis nearly decapitated me with a line drive during a high school game. I am always hoping he'd amount to something more than he has, so I can enjoy the fact that I caught the line drive before it went through my skull.Maybe Wayne Krivsky knows something we don't - after all, he's essentially brought in 2 bullpens' worth of players since the deadline...
