A very close friend of mine works for Gameplan Creative in Chicago.

Is that how you're referring to your reflection in the mirror now, Tom? "A very close friend"? How very Sybil of you.

All off the hook... very bad ass... Hit it.

And let me guess: This is your edgy, urban personality manifesting itself? Sounds a bit too "Vanilla Ice" to come across as "all off the hook".

Take the current look, dump the helmet logo, slim the current striping a bit (the linemen and backers already are, so lets standardize there) on both the jerseys and the pants, maybe revive the gold pants...but no effin stripes that cant run a straight line from the top of the pants to the bottom, and no effin secondary logos on the sleeves!

The NFL has too goddamn much logo creep as it is!

And, unlike diamonds, Clinton Portis isn't forever...

Actually, it was Schottenheimer that triggered the burgundy-at-home trend.

Can't say that I didn't mind it, either. While I prefer the white-on-burgundy look, I don't wish to see it every friggin' week.

I can't be sure, but with the Cowboys going throwback in the Week 2 MNF game, I believed the Redskins wore their white jerseys for EVERY regular-season and playoff game last season.

Ugh.

No they wore the Burgundy jerseys against the Bucs either in the playoff or regular season game.

Regular season game. They beat the Bucs in their all whites ikn the playoffs ( :( ), got beat on a 2 point conversion in the reg season in the reds.

I am myself a white-on-white fan. I wish the Bears would split their road games up with the white/white, navy/white combos.

Either way works for the Bears, white/white and white/blue. No blue/blue though, of course, and no more orange jerseys. That was a misfire.

The Colts would be a team that would look good wearing white at home. All that white from head to toe looks so perfect.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Here is my take on this... white/burgandy at home, white/white on the road, burgandy/white at Dallas or when a home team chooses to wear white.

I personally like the white/white look. Very clean and fresh look. The white/burgandy is classic and I like to see it from time to time.

Guys you do know they changed to all white to appease Clinton Portis who does'nt like the white stripped socks. They tried to wear the burgundy pants with the burgundy socks and the team was swampped by emails of hatred toward that look so they switched back and then Portis kept bitching to Gibbs and he gave in. He thinks white stripped socks makes him look slow, Portis that is.

Gibbs is being WAY too much of a nice guy, and this is pure madness to change the team uniforms just because one screwball player doesn't like how his socks look!!!! THIS IS THE NFL, CLINTON!!!!

Gibbs is also to blame for the white-on-white thing, because he said it makes the players look bigger. So friggin' what?? Gibbs should be forced to wear the same damn underwear for every game too...and if they lose he doesn't get to wash them.

Okay, they keep losing in white-on-white combo. When will they give up? They lost to a winless team at home this week. Luck, looking "big", etc. isn't working. Go back to the burgundy pants for Pete's sake.

Even though I always rooted for the Cowboys during their classic matchups with the Skins because of my dad being a Dallas fan, I always loved the Skins' white on burgundy look. It's one of the best looks in any sport, in my opinion, and doing white on white is both ordinary and a waste of a much better look.

I have always liked white on white except for a few team. The stellers are one and the redskins are another.

When have the Steelers ever worn white-on-white in your lifetime? Or even just white pants for that matter? If memory serves they had them briefly in the 70's and that was it.

As for the 'Skins, I think it is outrageous to cater to the bitchings of one or two immature players when it means throwing out years of tradition and success. Stop the madness and go back to the burgundy pants. With the WHITE socks.

It's amazing how superstitious grown men can be. Sure, they won 6 straight in those unis last year...they also got knocked out of the playoffs wearing them. And they won 3 Super Bowls in white-on-burgundy.

Hope Gibbs gets the message...

It's even more amazing fans can be outraged over the choice of a team uniform and call in a radio show to voice their "outrage".

Amazing. They should be voicing their outrage over Gibbs' job performance so far and Dan Snyder's idiotic signings.

I too think it's ridiculous for the Skins to toss away tradition just because some clown named Clinton Portis is more concerned about how the LOOKS on the field than how he plays. Gibbs' is too much of a nice guy in the first place, but it's time to bury the "white-on-white" now that they are 1-3 in them this year and just lost to a team that HADN'T WON ALL YEAR!!! :cursing:

Well pretty much I think they should go to more of a Goldish Yellow & A Darker Burg , even if they keep they Redskin Head its cool , just update it like Arizona did with the Cardinals Head , give it more features & a bit of a stern look , & the spear they used in 2002 can be used on the sleeves , & change the stripings on the helmet , But for the love of god please use the Burg Top , people like to see it ,

Save for the logo refreshening part, that sounds an awful lot like the Washington Redskins NFL Re-do concept I did about two weeks ago. But that's besides the point...

The white-on-white thing needs to die. NOW. Some teams look right in it; some maybe every now and then, some not at all. Maybe once in a while, white-on-white is a good change of pace, but please, Washington (and I don't even like the Redskins), PLEASE shut Portis' ass up and get back to your burgundy pants! (I still think they should go to mustard yellow pants with both sets like I did in my concept, but for what they have now...KILL THE WHITE-ON-WHITE. JUST DO IT GIBBS.)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁
