New Akron Uniforms

Akron made some slight changes to their uniforms this season. They are now a little less similar to the St. Louis Rams. Gone are the blue sleeves, the side panels and the Z logo under the colar, which has been replaced with the Akron logo/wordmark. They also broke out the blue pants. They have worn the blue pants occasionally in the past, but primarily wore gold ones. Not sure if this is a permanent change or if this was just one of those random games they chose to go with the blue. Not a huge change, but definitely a different look...What do you guys think of them?

I was actually going to post something about this a couple days ago, but couldn't find pictures.

I like the jerseys better, but I think the gold pants would look a lot better than the blue. Right there, from the shoulder stripes up is mostly gold, but from the numbers down is primarily blue. That doesn't look good. The jersey is an upgrade, but I'm not sure about the blue pants.

...or an obvious rip of Maryland's "Fear the Turtle" that they've been using for years.

Fear the roo was the best they could come up with? I would think that "Roo the Day!!!" would be much better.

and in the first picture I hope that number 20 actually does play corner, because that would cool if his last name was his position. Kinda like college football video games.

That change puts those unis over the top. That looks so much better.
