slapshot Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Italicized, huh...How about just the most recent teams?NHL: Carolina Hurricanes (Calgary and Nashville also sport italics, but none have won)NFL: Pittsburgh SteelersNBA: Miami HeatMLB: currently, only Toronto's numbers are italicized. Most everyone else uses the standard MLB block, or their own custom fonts, none of which are italicized or obliqued. So I'm going to say it's never happend in MLB. HedleyLamarr Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hmm, perhaps the Falcons, Thrashers, and Braves should slant their numbers. All the cool kids are doing it.
NJTank Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Slanted numbers would look good with the Flacons jerseys but not on the Braves. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
