NEW D'Backs and Reds Changes(pg 4)

So, what we REALLY need is a patsy. Someone stupid enough to post the pictures on another site, so that someone here can find it and say "Hey, look at this!" and post the link.

Kidding, of course. While I'm anxious to see the changes, I certainly don't think it's worth jail time. (But it's close!)

FEAR! FEAR! FEAR! CONFIDENTIAL! ILLEGAL!! JAIL TIME! 6 FIGURE FINE!!

I thought this was a logo board, I didn't realize everyone here was a lawyer who liked logos.

That would just be yh, amare32 and me (and maybe some others I don't know about).

I'm no lawyer, but I do own Mr. Smith Goes to Washington on DVD, as well as read the ever-educational Bob Loblaw Law Blog, so I think I have an excellent grasp on the legal system.

In instances such as this, where a logo is leaked prior to the wishes of Major League Baseball, Chris must invoke the rule of Parlay, a system of discourse that pirates use to air their differences without fear of plank-walking or being run through with a scabbard. Today we call scabbards "big knives."

Therefore, go ahead and post pictures. I care not for pirates, but I like knives.

Although MLB would probably not be happy about you posting them, I highly doubt you would go to jail over it, however 'm no lawyer. To my knowledge you didn't sign any non-disclosure agreement with them. While they might be pissed, I doubt you would get into much trouble over it. If you found some way to obtain them then they need to do a better job of keeping people from getting their hands on it.

A friend of mine at MLB just showed them to me and I must say, they are a bit of an eye sore. The primary mark is the same with the colors changed. The word marks are kind of blah.

Are you refering to the D-backs or Reds?

And if it is the D-Backs you are refering to, in your opinion do they look anything remotely like the Astros?

You could always PM them to me, and I could post them, and since I have no affiliation with MLB they couldn't do anything to me really. And since I don't know where I got them, they can't trace it back.

Just a thought ;)

No kidding, I thought maybe they'd say Houston and Astros too.

There are a few sports teams that can be confused with each other because of similar colors, so thats why I'm asking.

This reminds me of,

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...

or

I'm not a lawyer, I'm just here for the Bud Light... :P

Looks like somebody posted them up on the fanhome boards like 5 hours ago

That sounds like clearance to post a like to that forum.

You know, by this point, someone could have typed out a description of them and avoided the handwringing.

Does the style guide include any of the allegedly new BP jerseys?

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!
