ClutchIsEverything Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but doesn't the Columbus (GA) Lions logo of the new WIFL really look like the Lions Gate logo.
STL FANATIC Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I have very little problem saying that's a complete rip off there.Someone should contact the two entities and let them know about it. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
Shumway Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 On the plus side, Lions Gate is the company who released ALF on DVD But yeah, they look really, really close.
rtrich11 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I don't think I'd want to copy (or ripoff) a logo from a company that is surely full of lawyers. Besides, it doesn't come off that well for sports anyway. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
BrianVlietDesign Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I smell lawsuit coming out of this if that football club does not watch it. NYCFC - MLS CUP CHAMPIONS - 2021
MJD802 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Who cares. I've never even heard of the WIFL or whatever team that is so its not like they're capatilizing nationally on it. It would be one thing if it were the Detroit Lions whipping something out like that.

Geoff Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 World Indoor Football LeagueIt's made up of some of the best teams in the South that jumped from their leagues to form the WIFL and Columbus in an expansion team. Athletic Director: KTU Blue Grassers Football
creativelysain Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Yeah, I'm hoping they can be successful and keep the high quality of play down there in the south. What would be great, is if the 4 major regional players in indoor football (to me they are the WIFL, GLIFL, UIF and IFL) can come to an agreement, and have 1 governing body, and play a tournament style playoff for a true national champion.I think if the WIFL stayed in the southeast, the GLIFL in the Northeast and Great Lakes Region, the UIF in the midwest and west, and the IFL in the Southwest, you could have some serious games between all the "conferences" or leagues.Oh, and to stay on topic, that is bad rip off, and needs to be changed immediately if they want to stay respectable. Moser316 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Looks like all they did was remove the stars and change the rotation angle of the lion in the Lions Gate logo. Smells like a ripoff to me.
