Ez Street
If you didn't know about the WHA finally getting off the ground, they did. They are a Junior League in the Pacific Northwest. Why am I posting this? Well I thought I'd drop a link that features the different team sweaters for this season.Yes, they are reusing the old WHA logos with different towns. Looks like the Sweaters are rehashes also. Except the Black Whalers jersey.Oh, and Pucky lives! That's for all the Whalers fans out there. All two of you.http://www.officialwha.com/uniforms.html @DavidStreeter

Bleujayone
It's like building up a wedding reception to be the be all end all experience- only to find it's been catered with peanut butter sandwiches in your uncle's garage.Didn't these guys at one point during the lockout try to play it up as if they were going to replace the NHL? We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.
yh
I find it interesting that Garry Unger is coaching the Whalers franchise seeing as how his iron man record was broken by a Whaler - Doug Jarvis.Garry Unger's a good guy - glad he's still finding work, even if it is in the WHA. cleckie
This looks, smells, and feels like a bad idea to me. With the strength of the WHL and other established minor hockey organizations out there why the WHA why now? Retro is in but i have mixed feelings about the use of 30 year old identities to promote a new young hockey leauge....???

What I would be more concerned about is where do the players come from? 22 teams in WHL next year which is about 500+ players. This league is made up of the ones who couldn't make that cut? I wish them the best.
BJ Sands
So, there's a team in Squamish (wherever the hell that is) that will be wearing the uniforms of the Chicago Cougars? Huh?I must've been asleep for all my years in Chicago to miss that Chicago-Squamish bond.

Geoff
I do. Many Jr. league have said to stay away from the WHA and if you play for, coach for or GM a team in that league you wont be allowed to join their league(s). Mainly the CHL has said this.
