ZapRowsdower8
What team is the most "Blah" franchise in pro sports?Blah = a team that you cant really say anything good or bad about, hasn't done anything in it's history, and has only pretty decent payers, or players that were great on multiple teams, on it's alltime roster. My choice, the Texas Rangers.Whats yours? DG_ThenNowForever
Right now? Tampa Bay Devil RaysAll-time? Arizona Cardinals. Maybe Pittsburgh Pirates. Neither has been relevant for as long as I've been alive. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
ZapRowsdower8
The Cardinals have been so bad for so long that they at least fall on one end of the spectrum, and the Pirates still have 5 world series victories and plenty of hall of famers. I guess a "blah" franchise is just mediocre. Middle of the road every year. Another example = Minnesota Timber Wolves
FiddySicks
Baseball? Baltimore Orioles. I mean sure, theyre ok, but theyve always been my blah team. Football? Kansas City Chiefs. Not a bad team as well, just still not exactly the most exciting in my book.Basketball? Pretty much the entire league. I ust dont like basketball.Hockey? Canadiens. Ehhh, same, just never paid much attention to them. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Cyclopsis Joe
Baseball, I'd say the Red Sox. Only one time have they done anything half decent.Football, Buffalo Bills. They're an automatic write-off every year.Basketball, Atlanta Hawks. What's it been now, 15 years? I don't speak for democrats, democrats don't speak for me. LMU
For me personally:Baseball: Rockies. Ever since they began their youth movement, they've all but fallen off the face of the planet.Basketball: Magic. Ever since Shaq, Penny, and T-Mac left, I almost forgot they were down there.Football: Browns. Not the original team, so I honestly don't care one way or another.Hockey: Blue Jackets. They're just kind of... there.
DG_ThenNowForever
Football, Buffalo Bills. They're an automatic write-off every year. Really? The Bills? As a loyalist, I'm taken aback, if only because they were the winningest team of the 90s. I know that means very little when you're counting championship banners, but they certainly don't seem to me to be irrelevant. But that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I definitely agree with the Hawks suggestion though. In fact, there are plenty of "blah" NBA franchises: Magic, Hawks, Warriors, Raptors. It's cyclical with the NBA though. Three years ago, the Nuggets and Cavs would definitely be on this list. But now? 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
The_Admiral
Hockey? Canadiens. Ehhh, same, just never paid much attention to them. The_Admiral
Furthermore, the Baltimore Orioles were dominant through the 1970s--four pennants and a World Series, not too shabby--with Earl Weaver as manager, and had Jim Palmer, Frank & Brooks Robinson, Mark Belanger, and of course Cal Ripken Jr. through the 80s and 90s, so it's more that they've just hit a rough 10 or so years lately under Angelos. That's a proud history, hardly irrelevant. The Seahawks were the epitome of the "just there" NFL team until they finally won a conference championship. I'd say the Jacksonville Jaguars are that team now.NHL: Florida Panthers, easily. AL: Texas Rangers, NL: Colorado Rockies.NBA: Tough call. I can think of lots of blatantly awful teams--Warriors, Hawks, Blazers--but can't think of a team that's been irrelevant for a while now. The Hornets always seem mediocre, but at least they had that really bad year. The Sixers have history and Iverson to fall back on. I suppose the Washington Wizards or the Milwaukee Bucks would be it. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

BlueSky
NFL: Cleveland, Detroit and New OrleansI must rebut New Orleans. The Saints haven't won much but have been anything but blah in doing so. For example, they:- scored the first time they ever touched the ball- kicked the longest FG in NFL history - (63 yards)- scored one of the most exciting touchdowns in NFL history then MISSED THE EXTRA POINT to lose the game- had one of the most unusual and appropriate radio calls ever ("There is a God after all!")- once cut a player because he couldn't find the Superdome (as related by Archie Manning in an NFL Films feature)- lost by one point to the Cowboys when Ken Stabler was sacked in his own end zone for a safety with a minute left in the game (week 4 of the 1983 season)- traded their entire draft for Ricky WilliamsA checkered and depressing past to be sure, but certainly not "blah." Now the Lions and Cardinals, well, I think there's a compelling "blah" case for them.

PeytonManningRocks
NBA: Probably the Warriors- they haven't been downright terrible, but they haven't been good either.NHL: Florida Panthers- it's easy to forget they are in the NHL, they haven't done anything save the one year they made the Cup FinalsMLB: I agree with those people who have said the Mariners and Rangers....I would also consider the Rockies kind of blahNFL: There really isn't a blah team, except for maybe Arizona, but now with the new stadium, you can't really consider them blah anymore. Discrim
NFL: if this were a list of downright crappy teams, I would say the Lions (the Cardinals...they've been flat out awful some years). failing that, I'll say the closest to blah is the Jaguars...aside from making it to the AFC title game in their second year, and turning Marino's last game into a blowout, they aint really done all that much.NBA: the Warriors...basically, they been blah since Rick Barry left. when they were good, there were always better teams, and when they sucked the Clippers (and now the Knicks) were more spectacularly horrid.MLB: the Rangers...aside from Nolan Ryan, Pudge and Juan Gonzales, they aint got nothin.NHL: the Kings. subtract that Gretzky guy and that Dionne fella, and there aint much to look at. like the Warriors, there are always better teams when teh Kings are good, and always worse teams when the Kings are bad.
