Timaa
I think they look great. I don't know what the people who think they are hideous don't like about them. Of course you might not like them, but what's hideous about them? Oh well, as an FSU alum, I only really care if fellow fans and I like them anyways. OB33
Put me in the small like pile as well, then again I'm also a huge fan of the Ravens black alt. The unconquered script doesn't look like it takes up a massive amount of space on the leg and they didn't use a goofy font for it. Although I'm pretty sure that no one will be able to read the numbers on the field. For a day game, maybe but I'm fairly sure the game against BC is a night game. Garnet on black at night=very hard to see numbers. #CHOMPCHOMPCHOMP

SteveR
Of course you might not like them, but what's hideous about them? They're black. Simple enough? Black is not an FSU color. (Nor is it one for the Mets, Royals, Lions, Flames, etc. ...)It could be the most stylishly perfect design put in a venue of athletic competition -- but it would still be hideous because it's black. Geoff
That still only explains why you don't like them. If this was for a team whose priamrys included black, they probably ouldn't be as bad in you mind. There's nothing wrong with the general design -- although gold numbers with garnet trim would be better to see from a distance or on TV.Just that when Florida State does it, it's hideous. The hideousness of the concept eclipses any possible quality of the execution.

It makes perfect sense that they'd use it, and only for special occasions. But, if you have a personal prejudice towards things that are black, well then, that's your problem. I would hope no one would actually equate a dislike of black jerseys with racism. And if you don't read blogs, then why are you here? ohryan
Oops! The Noles were "conquered" again tonight by NC State. Perhaps they could make a last-minute call to Nike and have them switch their new black fancy pants to say "Often Unconquered."
