How can people say Buffalo will not make the playoffs. Their team is young, and just as good as last year when they were within 20 mins of the finals. They only lost McKee, Greir, and Dumont and gained a top 2 DEF in Spacek. Mabye they won't win it all but to not make the playoffs.

Stanley Cup

Ottawa Senators over Calgary Flames

The Cup finally leaves the Southeastern Shore of the US and returns to the town where it was kicked into a river Ottawa.

In a perfect world I'd say the NY Islanders win the Cup but were gonna surprise some people. The Hockey writers dont know as much as they think they do.

Wow--a lot of either hatred or disrespect for the Canucks...

I'm no Canuck fan--but they have a better shot than Edmonton--and at leats the earlier picks seem to favour the Oilers over the Cnaucks...

It's such a long season I hesitate to predict at this time, but I believe the Western Conference will win the Cup this season...

It seems everyone in the media is doubting the Canucks this year. I don't mind it - I'm just hoping the Canucks can prove them wrong and get into the playoffs and perhaps surprise a few teams. But not to get ahead of myself, the Canucks are not a deep team, after the Sedin-Sedin-Naslund line, there isn't much scoring and after Ohlund-Salo-Mitchell on defense, there's no proven d-man. One injury to a key player will have a huge impact on the team this year.

---

2 hours away from the Canuck season opener! Woohoo! :D

well they won tonight :woot: and luongo played well. i agree that the cancucks depth will be there downfall that is why i think that they shouldn't have the sedins with naslund. they need to spread around to talent more.
