meetthemets
Didn't know if this had been brought up yet. Looks like they updated the mark for 2006 with a new sponsor...
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans
I wonder how much each school is getting for this. And I wonder again why players can't get paid. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
KevinMcD
I wonder how much each school is getting for this. And I wonder again why players can't get paid. They do, they get a free education. Most if not all of the players get free tuition, books, dorms, etc.......
dhamen0420
Excellent point bills2005. Not to get away from the topic but most college athletes get a full ride, plus don't forget meals and per diem on the road. I say most because I know baseball and other sports only get so many scholarships, but I would take a free education. When I was in school and studying athletic training, I had to put in more hours for practice, travel with the team, which was the same schedule they have, and for no pay or tuition. It was all for education, and I knew that going into it, just like college athletes know that they won't get paid. People just need to accept it. If college athletes want to get paid, they should quit and get a job like millions of other people in the world, I am sure they will quickly go back to school.....Back to the topic, nice logo. LMU
Nice, but there's one thing missing in that logo...the word "Shootout" where "Rivalry" is written.

(Steps down off soap-box) I agree 100%. Plus, they TONS of free gear. Shirts, shoes, warmups, hats, gloves, everything. I am a student manager, and I get about 75% of the stuff that the players get, plus maybe an extra shirt every week or so (trade bag). I'd venture to guess that at least 75% of the t-shirts in my closet have been given to me for free.

They've been very good at the club hockey level, but that's it.NDSU does play the Minnesota Gophers in football this year. I guess that could be considered a little bit of a Red River Rivalry. But nothing like Sioux-Gophers hockey.

Spearhead
The REAL Red River Rivalry is North Dakota vs. Minnesota in college hockey. That's a good one. Don't forget that many college athletes also get free tutoring and a training table as well. Why does everyone want to turn college sports int the NFL or the NBA?
