Sodboy13 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Their "Decade in the Desert" patch isn't on the left shoulder. Oh no, there's still nothing over there. Instead, they decided to slap it onto the right chest, a couple inches away from the "PHX" shoulder patch. Man, that looks unbalanced and bad.I already have issues with the 'Yotes for just cloning the 1967 road Leafs jersey, coloring it red, and being done with it. I have issues with the plain white lettering and numbering. Both the striping and cresting could benefit from touches of sand and black. Also, their classy, simplistic crescent moon alternate logo has been relegated to a small spot on the pants. Now this misplaced patch. A lot of people like the simplicity of the Coyotes' uniforms. For me, everytime I look at them, I see unfulfilled potential. Either fix this or bring back the original unis (ah, what a guilty pleasure.) letterform Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 and the Leafs stole that identity from the Russians who stole it from the minor leagues who stole it from the Portland Rosebuds. That simple stripe pattern goes back 100 yrs if not longer. Like Bob Dylan said, it's been done. IMO It's a nice looking uniform and noone else in the NHL is wearing it right now so why change it? Simple stands the test of time and looks better on TV. their old uniforms weren't too popular back in the day and they would look horribly out of date if they wore them now. DEATH TO REEBOK

BBM Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Plus their logo is choking on a hairball! It's still better than their old look though.
BelfourThibault Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I actually really like the "new" 'Yotes unis
oldschoolvikings Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 How come nobody on Sportcenter knows how to pronounce the word "Coyotes"? http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

I watched the game last night and it didn't look out of place to me. And I'm really picky when it comes to logos and jersey designs, believe me. In my opinion, the patch is placed in the right spot. In my mind, the Coyotes likely wanted it to be aligned on the same distance away from the shoulders with the captain C or alternate A. Don't you think that most jersey designers use templates have the arm sleeves lifted and not relaxed?By the way, I love the anniversary logo. It's not like other teams where it has a strange number or roman numeral within it.

powersurge Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 How come nobody on....okay nuff of that.I like the 'Yotes updated look alot. Its much better than the train wreck that was their original unis. It looked like something you'd buy at one of the corny touristy gift shops out by the Grand Canyon.
capn89 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 How come nobody on Sportcenter knows how to pronounce the word "Coyotes"? I think it's worse that most of the people cannot pronounce Jaguars... as they always seem to call them "Jag-wires." WTF is a Jag wire?

Puck Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Complaint about the Phoenix Coyotes:They existThat isn't a complaint.A complaint should be: That the Winnipeg Jets don't.

BigMac12 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Man, what's your problem with the Phoenix Coyotes? Shouldn't you blame the city of Winnipeg for not doing enough for keeping the franchise? This really ticks me off as a Coyotes fan. We've even retire Hull and Steen's numbers, IN RED, WHITE, and BLUE! Isn't there something the Coyotes can do, other than move or fold, that would get you off their backs?
