buckeyenut Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Very sharp. I can't wait to see it in action.

Cyclopsis Joe Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Alabama has a hockey team?!I know, that's like having a Baseball team in Toronto! I don't speak for democrats, democrats don't speak for me.

jkrdevil Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Well they have club teams, they aren't varsity NCAA teams.
Slammersman Posted October 8, 2006 Author Posted October 8, 2006 Alabama has a hockey team?!As does Kentucky. I'm wishin Vandy will get one before I go there in 2 years...Vandy does we have already played them.
ZapRowsdower8 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 It's glorious!! Seriously though, I like it. But hockey in Alabama doesn't seem right.
RollWolfpack Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 hockey in alabama....look up the UAH chargers. From Wikipedia..."Its ice hockey team won the NCAA Division II national championship in 1996 and 1998 and now competes in Division I as a member of College Hockey America. UAH houses the only NCAA ice hockey program south of the Mason-Dixon Line. In 2012, UAH will host the NCAA Hockey Frozen Four championship finals, which will play at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. UAH was selected as host of the "Frozen Four", as being the closest collegiate hockey program to Florida."Roll Tide!
tp49 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Are they still only a club team which they were while I was attending Alabama? I never liked the stylized A, I figured they'd look better with Alabama going down the front like the Rangers do.As for hockey in Alabama besides UAH the Birmingham Bulls of the WHA were there for awhile then came back for a few years in the ECHL before moving to Atlantic City (then to Stockton, CA).

Such as the ACC or SEC in other collegiate sports.
twi Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Alabama plays in the ACHA, Div III, I believe. That's what USF plays in, at they were at Alabama this Friday and Saturday night. Sometime later this season Alabama makes the return trip here for a weekend.
no97 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 CHA and division I are quite incompatible terms. The Frozen Four in Florida is asinine.Um, tell that to Bemidji State (CHA) who went 4-3 vs. the WCHA (who's champ has won the national title the last four years). And as far as the Frozen Four in Florida, it's sold out well in advance anyway, why not put it in a "destination," instad of in some cold place like, say, last years spot Wisconsin?Moose

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness.
