First ever concept posted here

For the most part, I think the Bucs have a very nice look, but I wanted to make a few changes, namely keeping the red but reintroducing the orange from the early days of the franchise, as well as making black more significant in the color scheme and dropping pewter all together, which always struck me as kind of a fugly color.

I'm not HUGE on wordmarks above the number, so I didn't carry that over either.

I was trying to find a perfect balance to the old and new school, and will totally add in an orange alternate, here in a few days... might even do a red one to see which 2 colored jerseys are more accepted.

Great first post. On the logo I would swap the red with the orange. I don't like black jersey at all. But the execution is great.

For version 2.

I added side piping down the jerseyr to give it a little more "oomph".

I reversed the colors in the logo, and I have to admit, that was a GREAT idea(thanks queman!), as I really love the way it looks.

And I removed the black jersey and replaced it with what I think we all really want, and that's the creamsicle.

Yeah, switch the colors on the logos. The light orange over the maroon would look good as "highlights" and the shoulder logo just isn't working.

I tried switching the colors on the secondary, and what made it work, was the sudden realization I no longer needed the white stroke on the logo... which really makes the smaller details pop.

I think this is one of the rare Bucs concepts I've seen. Don't go listing all the other ones out there! *LOL* It's good, yet needs something maybe white between the black and red/orange stripes down the side. I now know what I hate about this template, it's the socks that make it look like a ballet dancer in football pads. Lynn Swann anyone? *LOL*

The image quality is good, but it seems way too paint-by-number.

I think the numbers should match the pants.

To wit: Since you have orange numbers, change the pants to orange.

OR

Change the numbers to red.

Either way, I feel the number color should match the pant color.

YEESH!!!! Sorry, but im not feeling it. IMO the bucs look is perfect with just enough tie into the past without really bowing to it. But then again, I would think that.

It was the creamsicle unis that made me like the team in the first place back in the mid-80s. I would totally welcome a return to the color scheme. Esp with the team they've been fielding lately.

When you say lately do you mean within the past few years, with a Super Bowl title and a coupla division titles, or do you mean lately as within the last few weeks........

I aint the biggest fan of these. I aint gonna call these garbage, but this coulda been much better. first off, the Bucs should never wear red pants (just like the Packers should never wear green pants). It would take something special to make that work, and I don't see it here. You woulda been better off using orange pants on the roads, that way you could also wear the white pants on the road (assuming you changed the road side stripe to red as well).

another thing I notice...why's the road sock a darker orange than the rest of the orange in the uniform? I'm assuming that was overlooked, but you may wanna fix that.

For your first concept, not bad at all. But, I do agree with some of the other posters. It is a bit tto plain. And as far as black goes as a primary for the Bucs, its a no go IMO. As as alternate, I think the black uniform may work. I like what you did with the first try on the primary logo, making the flag orange. The thing I don't like is how the alternate was overpowered with orange. Not a bad concept, but it needs a few improvements.

Agreed. It's not raterized or anything, but sheesh! Do something with it! The only interesting thing about this concept is the colours.

I think you did a great job of showing us what it would look like if someone tried to integrate the current logos with the old colors.

A big reason I wanted to get into doing concepts is because I've never worked with Illustrator. I'm finding it a little strange, so please forgive me if I don't use 57 kinds of intricate piping, because as I said, I'm still learning.

However, I did redo some of the stuff that was asked about, and to "put something out there", I added the nameplates under the collar and reversed the sleeve colorings. I also fixed the away pants.
