I've had this on the tv in the background all afternoon and never heard this about Lidle. What a shock!

Well, the Yanks will save alittle bit of money next season.

Apparently, Lidle's plane crashed into the 40th floor of an apartment building on 79th Street along the East River. Three people in the building are confirmed dead, too. Lidle had taken off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey (near the Meadowlands).

Definitely. Sad and tragic.

There is no way they can play the Mets-Dodgers game tonight considering it happened in New York and a MLB player was involved.

They'll play the game... no reason not to..... They'll just have a moment of silence.
