John in KY Posted October 19, 2006 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Like I said, it just looks incomplete, because most of us grew up with the classic jerseys that had the cuffs and collar, or whatever we're calling it. That's what we think of when we think of good basketball jerseys, and these wishbone collar/vest things are a step down.I'll agree with that - when I see basketball jerseys without neck and arm trim, I think of practice jerseys instead of game jerseys. Last year they looked like the Sixers (read: horrible) in their alternates.The one thing that has bugged me about th alternates, though, is the shorts. The Bull is just on the black background, instead of in a contrasting color diamond, like on the home and road shorts. It makes the shorts look incomplete, like those cheap-arse Champion replicas from back in the day. Here go a couple changes I noticed that I don't believe were covered before:*the name on the back is now plain white, as opposed to red with black and white trim that had been on the previous black jerseys*the shorts have been changed to include the traditional diamond. basically think a black version of the white shorts.
