yh
Wow...! The old '30s World Series between Cards and Tigers are back again in the 21st century!i prefer the 1968 version of the rivalry.1968 Marked two of the greatest tragedies in the history of St. Louis - the Cards' loss in the World Series and my birth six months prior to that event.Joel, here's a tip of the cap to you and your Tigers. Let's hope they play one for the ages and let the best team win!
FiddySicks
That was some nasty stuff by the Cards' closer. That's all I can say.I don't know if I'd call his stuff "nasty." He loaded the bases and was a hit away from tying the game. He saved the game, but his stuff wasn't unhitable. The last strike to Beltran was borderline, but at the same time you don't look at a pitch like that with 2 strikes and two outs. He looked like a deer in headlights. Sad to see the season end with the bat on his shoulders. I thought the ball and strike calls were, IMO, questionable on both sides of the ball throughout the series.yeah I thought the balls and strikes calls were HORRIBLE, especailly tonight, against St. Louis. They really ahd two things working against them almost all night. The terrible officiating, and their inability to pull the damn trigger. FiddySicks
That said the Cardinals are going to get slaughtered in the World Series. I think it will be a Tigers sweep and not even a close won like last year. Hmmm. Well, so much for that one...
