Came home to watch with my family, and a good hour after we won my Mom and I drove downtown to take in the celebration.This is awesome.We had a team full of fighters. The team was capable of dominating, and they showed that in the first month and a half of the season. But then they underachieved and injuries hit, and they just didn't have an easy season. Still, they always won the games that meant the difference between first or second place. And when the playoffs rolled around, they got healthy, they stayed loose, and they won the games they had to.What a run.We did it. We finally did it.So ridiculously happy.Go Cardinals! zig Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 I'm happy that the Cards won.No one expected them to go past the 1st round but they showed up to play this postseason. The main reason I wanted the Cards to win though is because I'm a Met's fan and all my friends where telling me that the Met's suck becasue they lost to the terrible Cardinals. A team I hate squeaks into the playoffs with an average record, then goes on some crazy run and wins the championship. It makes me feel like the reds, or any one of those teams battling for a playoff spot in the last month could have won it. I look at this and see missed oppurtunities for my favorite team.
