Gothamite
The diamondbacks have updated their db logo. They added eyes and attatched the tounge.Downgrade definatly, The db logo was fine, I guess they needed to change it so the average joe gets what it is.They changed it, most likely, because the "db" logo was too close to David Blaine's. I think they've improved it, personally. But wasn't Blaine's trademark abandoned? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. FiddySicks
Here are the 1998 on-field caps:I'm just trying to figure out which of those four was the most fugly!A: None of the above. While their current set fits them better, I love the old scheme. P.S. I'm trying to find the white crown/purple bill hat, preferrably in a 7 3/4- 8. Any ideas? The biggest one I've seen on eBay was a 7 1/2.Dude, I've been sayin it for years and can't stress it enough.mickeysplace.com On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) PadreHomer
So this is what the tour guide at Chase field told us about why they changed, not saying its true though. Supposedly the manufacturer of MLB goods didn't like purple stuff because purple is one of the most expensive inks, plus its hard to get the color consistent. Secondly, the Rockies were miffed that they had a very similar color scheme and similar uniforms. Thirdly the Diamondbacks noticed that there are no teams that wear red in the NL West and that its the only division in baseball without a team that wears red. Gothamite
But wasn't Blaine's trademark abandoned? It's still featured prominently on his website.Doesn't mean he still owns the trademark. TESS had it as "abandoned". The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Cianfrocco
Here are the 1998 on-field caps:The teal/purple hat was never worn in a game. Those were all introduced in 1995, but that one was phased out before 1998. Also during that time, the logo size was greatly reduced before their first game.
