Epiphanic
Should be interesting to see what the D'backs come up with. Why the color change? The Purple, Turquoise, Gold scheme looks good.I just want Houston to bring back orange, because Tang is orange, and that's what the astronauts drink. That got me thinking, what about an "update" of their old scheme? Orange, Brown, and white isn't used since the Padres changed their colors, maybe we need Rainbow Jersey's 2.0 "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble. luisart47
The Dbacks thought throroughly about switching to navy and red as their main colors but as soon as other teams placed them a lawsuit for using the same colors as they do, they decided to confront only the Astros instead of all of the other ones.Among the teams demanding were the Red Sox, the Indians, the Braves, the Twins, the Yankees, the Nationals, the Cardinals, the Phillies, the Angels, the Rangers and the Cubs. They state that they are the only teams that MLB allowed to use any combination of Blue (or its different shades, navy, royal, etc.) and Red.Now, they only have to win one lawsuit instead of 11. And where does that leave the Dodgers, Royals, Tigers, Mariners, Padres, Brewers and even a few others? That sounds like BS to me. Anyway, what time will they be unveiled? Anyway, what time will they be unveiled?I think that was sarcasm, since people keep talking about how its the same colors as the Astros, yet there are 11 teams in the majors who wear some combination of blue and red. The World Basketball Championship, the Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Iraq: Every day there's further proof that we, as a nation, are not very good at international competition. ZapRowsdower8
OK, lets see if I can hit all of the topics covered in this thread and start one of my own.1) I like the colors for the Diamondbacks. I have high hopes for these unis.2) I think the Astros should change back into a more space age theme as well. The navy and gold unis were awesome. Why did they ever change those?3) With the Dbacks not using purple anymore does anybody else think that the time is right for Colorado to emphasize that aspect of their identity? Maybe the all purple cap at home, black with purple brim on the road?I can't wait to see these, should be good!

If you can see blue, you're not in space. 3. Colorado absolutely should turn the dial on their purple up to 11, turn the black down to about 3, and the silver up to 7. And then they should make a big pile of every alternate jersey they have ever worn, made, or sold to the public. And burn that pile until nothing is left but a gooey sludge of charred petrochemicals and a hazy layer of thick black polyester smoke drifting gently downwind onto the Great Plains. Then they should identify every single person in the entire uniform-choosing process who did not resign or commit hari-kiri rather than let their alternate jersey monstrosities come into being, and they should arrange for all of these people to be quietly transferred to the University of Oregon's uniform department, where they can hardly do any more damage to America.Apologies to anyone who actually likes the Rockies space-cadet alternates; tastes will differ.
