griffelh
What a boring, thoroughly pedestrian identity package. The logos - particularly the wordmarks to be worn on the home and road jerseys - look like something you'd see trotted out in an Over-40 softball beer league. It's hard to believe, but this identity package is NOT an improvement over the muddled mess that was the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons. And the primary logo is a mere adaptation (read: ripoff) of the Staten Island Yankees' logo, just with "Scranton Wilkes-Barre" in place of "Staten Island." Nice.I agree with you. They almost completely ripped off the Staten Island Yankees package, which is not that good. Way too busy. They should have kept the SWB logo and if they had to they could have changed the colors to Navy and White.
Guest
I think Moosic, the jurisdiction where the stadium is located, is midway between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.Wow. So Moosic really does make the people come together. That was inspired. Solid work.
wman
Looks to me like it's a punishment for the poor guys in Triple A to have to wear a cheesy copy of the Yankee marks.SWB didn't draw poorly at all--I just don't see the need to go and take on the Yankee name. Everyone knows the Yanks sell all their good prospects at the trade deadline anyway :-O Bring back the Whale!
29a
That is one god-awful new package.I know somebody mentioned that it's the Staten Island package, but good lord... couldn't they come up with something original?
oddball
I just ask if you people wanted the ever so popular steroid-angry Yankee that is so prevelant amongst the minor leagues? It's nice and simple, a reflection of the parent club uniforms and logo. Maybe I like simplicity, and hate all these steroid mascot logos. mjrbaseball
I think Moosic, the jurisdiction where the stadium is located, is midway between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.Moosic is actually right adjacent to Scranton, and is about 15 miles from Wilkes-Barre. (I work almost right next to the stadium.)

mjrbaseball
The pdf file on the website has the logos etc in raster format. Guess I'll get to work vectorizing them. (Or I could just walk down to the stadium and get them.)
