NickNickNick
Not bad, but 18 million$ ?I can think of a LOT of great players who would've signed for that amount. Spoiler Β New York Rangers. Stanley Cup Champions - 1928, 1933, 1940, 1994. Saskatchewan. Cold. 1905-2022.

officeglenn
Two years, $18 million seems like way too much money. Sure, it's a huge upgrade at the DH spot, but the Jays were already overloaded at other positions like catcher, and one of those guys could do a decent job DHing for less money. And of course, this leaves less money to address the two biggest concerns: the middle infield and starting pitching. Catching is also high on the list too, with both Gregg Zaun and Bengie Molina free agents.
Davey
Frank Thomas will do good. Think about it , the blue jays rotated 5 players on the dh and had a total of 16 hr's. Thomas had 39 hr's on the dh alone. Im sure he will fill that spot perfect. Other than that im a Blue Jays fan so i think its great lol.
Bleujayone
Already he seems to be a "Big Hurt" to the Jays' wallet.Maybe he'll be great, but I have to wonder what at age 38 he's really going to be able to do. We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.
zer0dotcom
^ thats my biggest worry too. When He's good, he's a great hitter. But when he's not, it's trouble. He could be that one big bat the Jays need to help their offence, but it comes at the price of their catchers and other areas they could be improving.I like that they are willing to spend money on players to help build a winner, but just because the money is there doesn't mean we should just throw millions at one player
Roger Clemente
Frank Thomas was mostly the reason why I liked the White Sox and declared them my second favorite MLB team since 1994. Now that he's playing for the Jays, I am actually genuinely excited!--Roger "Time?" Clemente. Follow me on Twitter if you care: @Animal_Clans.My opinion may or may not be the same as yours. The choice is up to you.

Plus he will get paid 8$million a year so depends on who they go for , plus if they do some trades i say they have a quite alot left to spend, imo. FiddySicks
In retrospect, was Thomas really that great? I mean 39 home rus wasnt bad, but the reason I felt Thomas was so good was because he was so productive for such a low price. Wouldve 39 dings seemed as good of a deal if the A's had dropped this kinda bread on him? On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: Sheβs still half convinced βChris Creamerβ is a porn site.)
