Roger Clemente
I bought this on eBay. Looked shady...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/RoCle/DSC00147.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/RoCle/DSC00148.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/RoCle/DSC00149.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/RoCle/DSC00150.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/RoCle/DSC00152.jpgIt came to $60 with shipping, but it actually only cost me personally $4 because of previous transactions with other people earlier the day I ordered it.--Roger "Time?" Audiodrama
If that's a fake, it's a damn good one...it's sure fooling me. It looks pretty authentic...number and letter fonts are correct, NFL logos are not altered, Super Bowl logo is not altered...you might found yourself one hell of a bargain. SouthSidePride
The Steelers patch looks a bit shady, but no one would ever know unless they are jersey freaks like us and know crazy stuff like what the patch looks like. ColeJ
i've seen some good fakes out there...i've got a black eagles kearse jersey, and a navy blue titans vince young that are both "shady" ebay purchases... but i've got zero complaints with them. sc49erfan15
Pretty sure it's a fake...the Steelers patch and name on the back give it away. But hey, it's a damn good fake (even has the special sleeve striping way the Steelers do it) and it's definitely worth $4.
Roger Clemente
Well, compared to the jerseys worn in the Super Bowl XL Championship DVD, the only noticable differences between this and the ones in the video are the cut of the sleeves (which are done by the NFL trainers themselves) and the fact that the letters are a little too close together. Through the letters on this jersey are not a yellow layer on top of a black layer, it's actually a yellow layer with thick black stitching all around the edge of it.Here is the oriignal auction. If you look at the back of the jersey, the shoulder panel is pretty messed up and the name font is thicker.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. NJTank
It looks so close to being real if all you plan to do is wear it and not resell it. Its well worth it. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
sacker12
The sleeve stripes are knitted in like in the game jerseys, the letters are just gold letters with black chain stitch embroidery. Dead giveaway that it is a fake, but still not too bad for a 60 buck jersey.
See Red
It's hard to tell, but what you pointed out about the name being yellow with just a thick black layer of stitching, it looks like the numbers themselves are stitched on like that too, so I would say that it is a fake. I can't say I'm positive that it's like that, but that's how it looks to me.Still worth $60. I have a Maurice Clarrett Ohio State jersey (I know, I know...) and it's like that and nobody seems to bring it up or care.
Roger Clemente
The nameplate is definately not right. It's not actually "chain-stitching", just a thick black outline stitching. The numbers are sewn on with a normal zig-zag stiching, like the crests on my authentic NHL jerseys. The ones in the back appear to be about 2 inches taller than the ones on the back. The SBXL patch and Steelers logo patch are actually embroidered INTO the jersey itself, the same way they do it in most ballcaps. If you hold it up to a light, inside or out, you can see the pattern of the jersey material inside the patches themselves. Seems almost like a watermark.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. bgbry44
Some of the other jerseys that are being sold by that dude are fake, so I would imagine this one is too. But either way its a great fake and worth $60 I would say. Even through the darkest days....this fire burns...always
FiddySicks
The Bucs jersey the guy is selling is a dead giveaway that its a fake, but considering how much the "Real" authentics sell for, I may just pick one of these up........ obiwantok
The Leinart jerseys also have the old Cardinals logo above the nameplate.
