Georgia Tech Wearing Blue Jerseys

On GameDay they just showed a shot of Calvin Johnson's jersey in the locker room and its the long awaited NAVY jersey. It has all the patches and even his captain "C" on it so I'm pretty sure they're going to wear them today. They were paired with the white pants.

Yep. Showed it in the locker room.

I know it's a secondary color -- gold and white being primary -- but I like the look.

This way, you get a third color in a prominent point in the uniform -- gold helmet, blue jersey, white (?) pants.

I added the (?) because there's a chance they could go gold-blue-gold.

Oh... but it IS a topic worthy of 3 different posts.... okay no it's not. It's nice to see the blues again, but people have you ever thought about looking on the boards for the subject before you just click "new topic/post"? I mean the second one was 9 minutes or so after the first and this one a whole hour after the first one! A little effort here people. :D

I made the first topic. You can even check the time. People are just too stupid to see if it's already been made.

THis is the one with the most posts. So more will be made.

Not like you win a prize or anything....

they should've worn the gold pants with them.

Nah, everyone does that. And by everyone, I mean teams that wear a navy jersey and have navy/gold as colors. This combination is, to my knowledge, unique among current uniforms for all teams.

Tampa Bay Storm anyone?

Do both of those players have C's?

Yessir, both Reggie Ball and Calvin Johnson are captains, I think GT has 4 or 5 captains. Kinda clutters it up when you have the C, the R, the Yellow Jackets wordmark, the NCAA flag, and the ACC Championship logo.

But I like the blue jerseys.

Doesn't that kind of take away from the value of the C, having 5 at once? Having 5 at different points in the season is one thing, but at the same time...I'm not sure.

Definitely, although I think it's hard on a football team to have only one due to the sheer numbers and that the line is much more definite between offense and defense in football than in other sports. For example, if Reggie Ball was the only captain for the team, he'd have a tough time relating to the defense because he's always working with the offense. So I can understand having more than one captain, 4 or 5 on the other hand is kind of spreading the leadership powers fairly thin.

Before the game when I went over to the GT locker room, the first thing I thought of was "Wow, I should call somebody to put this on the boards."

In other news, I assume no one noticed this, but Reggie Ball had a "4" written in magic marker on each of his calves. Any word on why?
