Jigga
GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!It ain't gonna happen, but this former soldier hopes to all that is good that the Black Knights of the Hudson at least don't suffer another blowout at the hands of those damn Middies.IMHO, this is the most respectful rivalry in all of sports. rams80
Congratulations to Navy.Logo-related question I have every year for this game.Is there any website that shows all the unit patches that are on the various players' jerseys? Fred T. Jane
Just once I like to see Army win again what has happened to them They Suck.4 Commander in Chief's Trophies in a row...and counting! [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. HedleyLamarr
The best part of the rivalry is watching both teams run over to the bands to hear both Alma Maters. It's great to see what Paul Johnson has done with Navy. It wasn't very long ago when the Army-Navy matchup featured teams that won 3 or fewer games....combined.

Alphabet Man
I think Navy is coming over here next year to play hockey. Not set in stone yet, but it would be good if we can pull it off. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
jkrdevil
I think Navy is coming over here next year to play hockey. Not set in stone yet, but it would be good if we can pull it off.Navy doesn't have a hockey team. Or at least not a Varsity level team, I think they have a club team but that is far from even Div-III level hockey. I doubt a club team is going to Australia as club players tend to have to pay for the travel themseleves. Maybe you are thinking of Army which doesn't have a D-I team. Alphabet Man
Maybe, the idea is to get them here because its the 100th anniversary of the first hockey match in Australia between a Melbourne side and the US Navy (USS Baltimore). Maybe we'd have a chance to beat them then.Someone is coming over here, hopefully. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
