Discrim Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 heh, I remember in the 80s and early 90s the NFC always wore blue with white pants, and the AFC always wore white with red pants. then there was a few years they wore that assymetrical Apex (?) design (AFC: red/white, NFC: blue/white), and after that, the AFC wore red while the NFC had white (both teams had white pants...and these were IIRC also the first pro bowl jerseys to have a player's team logo on it). Early 2000s, the short-lived gradients (AFC-red into white, red pants; NFC-white into blue, white pants) and after those, there were the sets with a lot of piping and Broncos-ish pants with either the NFC N or AFC A on the stripe as an outline. NFC wore all blue with red piping and white pant stripes, while the AFC wore all white with blue piping and red pant stripes. I went to the Pro Bowl in 01 and 02 and both teams wore the Fade style uniforms and both years the AFC had the top of their unis Red and the NFC had the bottoms blue.AFC Ravens 2001AFC Ravens 2002NFC 2001NFC 2002Only difference, the patch. The last two years the AFC wore Red tops, so for the next two years the NFC will get to don the Blue tops. Cant wait to see my boys in blue in person again this season.
