I live in the Quad Cities, but a lot of companies and even sports teams use Quad City for the name. It has to do with usage. When it stands alone, you use Quad Cities. When combined with another noun you use Quad City, as if it were an adjective. Quad City MallardsQuad City AreabutThe Quad Cities.I would not be surprised if the Twin City area did the same thing.
