You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this is, in fact, legit merchandise. IIRC, when the NFL went with the all-Reebok apparel contract, the Cowboys broke ranks and somehow made their own arrangement with Reebok. That's why, for the past couple of years, a lot of items in the NFL Shop catalog are listed as "Available For 31 NFL Teams" with the Cowboys getting their own section of merch. That might also be why Cowboys practice jerseys are available for sale, their EQT throwbacks have screened numbers, and other assorted oddities. Also, whenever graphics of Cowboy jerseys are shown on NFL Shop commercials, they use the same completely incorrect number font that's shown on this Romo jersey.

So, in conclusion:

Official, genuine merchandise? Probably.

Crap quality? Definitely.

Worth $70.98? Oh, oh good Lord, no.

All he says it is authentic apparel and the jersey is the navy blue worn on away games. I know it is all semantics but I'm not sure he incriminates himself by saying this is the actual jersey that they wear on road games.

They are not the practice jerseys...the practice jerseys look like a worn down reversed version of the Thanksgiving throwbacks minus the stars on the shoulders....also he does mention the first wave of THESE jerseys are sold out....they aren't sold period because they are fake jerseys...the jerseys that are or rather were sold out are the real away blues.....anywho semantics and the people who actually won are the ones i feel sorry for :)

What are you talking about practice jerseys for he never mentioned it was a practic jersey. He said authentic apparel, I read that as authentic NFL apparel whether that be a fashion jersey or whatever, and these fashion jerseys could have been sold out you don't know that, Most people aren't as sport, logo, jersey nuts as us in here, I think if someone was wanting to buy a Dallas Cowboys jersey for their son or something. I don't think they are being misled buy the advertisement. They should read carefully about what said merchandise is, but I don't think he is lying.

Accually, these are sold in stores. Theyre exclusive to I think Target. They have Tomlinson and Gates versions of these in Chargers at the Target down the street from my house. Same shiny Nylon look of the RBK replicas, but completely stripped down. Its pretty funny, they had the navy and powder the last time I looked and both had the Navy helmet on the sleeves. :P

Just to show. These are the jerseys

I'm not arguing over symantics and only mentioned the practice jersey thing because it was mentioned above, it wasn't directed at you but I was commenting on the authentic apparel BS...it is completely misleading, sure the idiot who buys this deserves to waste the money (and frankly a smack on the head with a hammer probably as well) but send this to the Dallas Cowboys website and I'm sure they would be none too happy about whether or not it's misleading....he's says it's authentic (and because it has the tags doesn't make it so) and he says it's the navy blue they wear on away games...sure he doesn't specifically says it's the exact jerseys but that's just being nit picky saying its not misleading....because it is extremely easy to see he's trying to imply these are authentic jerseys as worn by the team...but again, I'm not going to argue about it...I just don't believe the seller deserves the money for this crap he's trying to pass off as anything other than a shirt you get at a thrift store.......but that's just me...i mean cuz if you wanted to get technical he does mention it as "authentic NFL apparel" and that it's not....as others have said at best its one of those wal-mart jerseys which would make it authentic cowboys apparel... :) but I'm just sayin'

When I see these posts on here, sometimes I actually email the seller a question, usually pointing out their borderline (or blaitant) fraud.

I sent this guy an email, and this is what I received:

Mr. *name removed*, I will not stoop to any negative connotations in response to your, suggestions. Instead I would like to thank you for pointing out any miss understandings in my Title, Write up, or Pictures. The title on this particular item read: "TONY ROMO JERSEY Dallas Cowboys Authentic NFL Apparel". Now, this is a Jersey. (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH "GAME" JERSEY) The name "Romo" is on the back and his corresponding number is on the front and back. This jersey DOES have the PROPER tags Stating: "Authentic NFL Apparel", which is indicated in pictures 3 and 5 CLEARLY. These Jerseys even came with the holographic NFL SEAL on the tag. This seal was not pictured and was so indicated in the write up. These Jerseys were purchased from my place of employeement where we have a contract with none other than, The Dallas Cowboys, to sell AUTHENTIC NFL APPAREL. NO WHERE HAVE I STATED THAT THIS IS A GAME JERSEY. NO WHERE. Now the write up starts by saying: "This is a NFL Authentic Apparel Dallas Cowboys <all of this statement we have just proven above through the tags. Tony Romo Jersey.< and we have already found that this is a Romo Jersey. The Jersey is made of 100% Polyester/ Machine washable.< Here i have stated what the Jersey is made out of. The Jersey is the Navy Blue that is worn by the cowboys for their away games. <I did not say "GAME JERSEY", I simply said that this is the "Navy BLUE" worn in the away games. Now, the pictures....well they speak for them selves. That of course is why they're there. So customers can see what they are truly bidding on in a clear manner, which i have done. The customers can look and for those who are looking for a "GAME STYLE JERSEY" will keep looking. Now, common ideas are "jersey" are game jerseys. This is simply a miss conception. Now it is impossible for everyone to perceive one message the same way so your confusion is understandable. I hope this has cleared this issue up. eBay has & will be notified of ur current & future responses.

I also received a personal email stating that if I reply personally, he will delete my email, and I can take it up with eBay if I want.

For reference, here's the question I asked him. I'll admit that it isn't the most professionally worded question, and is basically more of an accusation than a question, so I can take it if I get bashed for sending this:

How can you claim that jersey is an authentic Tony Romo jersey, when it is not even close to their real jerseys, and doesn't have the authentic NFL tags? People like you are what is wrong with ebay. That jersey is not even close to authentic, and you shouldn't deceive people like that.

Thing of it is - he's right. Caveat emptor, all the way.

Seller is 100% correct. Sometimes people on this board read in to things a bit too much and imply what they want to from what they are given.

I recently sold a Game Used New Era hat along with a bat from the same player. I sold it as "Joe Schmo Game Used Hat and Bat." Now I only knew that the hat was game used, I knew the bat was his because it had his number and initials on it, but I didn't know for certain if the bat was a BP bat or a fungo bat or what. I don't think what posted was misleading.

Read and re-read the seller's response. Once you've done that I don't understand how you can put any blame on the seller. Nowhere does he say "Just like what Tony Romo wears" or "Authentic on-field jersey." The NFL should be to blame for marketing its line of appearal as "Authentic NFL Appearal" which raises the antenae of people on this board who think authentic can only apply to game worn jerseys. Heck the Authentic NFL Appearal line probably includes things like sweatshirts and socks!!

So from my earlier responses, the sellers response is exactly what I would have expected and he's right. I'm glad some agree, with my thinking on this. I always wondered if I was being just a little too much of a devil's advocate for the seller of this item.

I don't know what you guys are talking about.

This seller is NOT in the right.

He knowingly deceives people with crafty wordplay. Sure, any one of us could tell what a POS this jersey is, but can the mother who's buying it for her son? She's most likely not going to be researching pictures to see if they match.

"The Jersey is the Navy Blue that is worn by the cowboys for their away games."

Get the hell out of here. If said what he meant, he would have said it's the same colour as the road jerseys.

I know, I know... caveat emptor... but it's still a crooked practice from a douchebag seller.
