The 5

My Top 5

1. Phoenix Suns- Right now with 15 straight wins they have shown they are the best team right now

2. San Antonio Spurs- Best Record, playing as well as the Suns but not enough to take over the top spot

3. Dallas Mavericks- Creeping up on the Spurs

4. Utah Jazz- Didn't expect to see them here

5. Detroit Pistons- After sluggish start, they are becoming the Pistons we're used to

Bottom 5

30. Philadelphia Seventy Sixers- Now without Iverson, no star no wins

29. Memphis Grizzlies- Wow falling apart at the seams

28. Charlotte Bobcats- Even drafting Duke or North Carolina Players won't help them

27. Boston Celtics- Red is turning in his grave right about now

26. New York Knicks- So you mean to tell me brawls don't win you games

Is this a list of the best and worst franchises, or a list of the five best and worst teams in the NBA right now?

I'm judging by the fact that he has the overrated Phoenix Suns on the top, he's going by his opinion of the top NBA teams right now.

So I'll give mine as well...

1. San Antonio Spurs

2. Detroit Pistons

3. Phoenix Suns

4. Dallas Mavericks

5. Denver Nuggets

I think the Memphis franchise is exactly what's wrong with the NBA. No one in the metro area was exactly clamoring for a pro franchise, and they sure haven't warmed up to the crappy one they got (Jerry West or not). They were moved strictly because Heisley made googly-eyes at FedEx and they bent over for him and his second rate team. And now, the idiot can't even sell the team - you've got Dukie pricks lowballing them with imaginary cash.

Memphis will always be Tiger country. The Grizz don't even rate.

I like the city of Memphis. I've never had so much enjoyable eating as I did that week.

Memphis is a really nice city. Im even seriously considering trying to go to U of Memphis for my final two years of school. Good food, friendly people, good jobs available, and Germantown is by far one of the nicest places ive ever been to.

I hate to say it, but I agree that the 76ers and the Knicks are in the bottom of the bottom...I loved both of these teams for years - still do. But it's rough seeing them stumble again and again, but not for lack of trying. High payrolls. Larry Brown. Always making strategic moves for growth and never succeeding. I'd love to see both of them at the top, but that's going to take a LONG time...

Phoenix has won 15 straight...how they can not top power rankings this week would be impossible. say what you will about their style of play - I personally love it, and the Suns are my second-favorite team now (just finished reading the very well written "Seven Seconds or Less" this week) because of the wide-open, fun style of play and the quality of their team's character.

btw, the Blazers have won five straight and are a half-game back of a playoff spot in the West. Just saying.

1. Kansas City/Omaha Royals

2. Buffalo Braves

3. San Diego Clippers

4. Syracuse Nationals

5. Harlem Globetrotters- these are actually my favorites, as they eliminate the need for yet another NY-area team, plus, they never :censored:ing lose! How cool is that?!

Melbourne Tigers

Ohh yeh the Globetrotters for sure, met one of them when i was like 8, didn't know who they were apart from these people running around Rod Laver Arena with all these fancy tricks.

I'll go for the NBA pub-team, who are they? I don't know Toronto sounds like that, they'll do.

I went to a Hawks game 2 nights ago. NVM they were up by 20 at the beginning of the 4th and lost by 5 to the Jazz...It's just the fact that they were up by 20 on the Jazz and the fact that the place hasn't been "Shareef Abdur-Rahim" empty all this year that has me thinking "OMG the Hawks have life."

So yeah, they're no longer "lol bad." The Hawks, thanks to Joe Johnson (-eats crow-) and Josh Smith turning into Super Mario, the Hawks have jumped up to the status of "Meh."

With that being said, here's the list.

1) Miami Heat (Once Shaq comes back, the owning commences. You do know this is the same team that won the title.)

2) Phoenix Suns (Hot as hell. No pun intended.)

3) San Antonio Spurs (Most consistent team I've ever seen. They keep winning, and have rings to prove it.)

4) Dallas Mavericks (I thought they were dead after losing 4 straight to start the season. Then I realize "This is the NBA, you can lose 15 straight and still have a feasable chance of making the playoffs. I LOVE THIS GAME!)

5) Utah Jazz (Any team that comes back from 20 down in the 4th Quarter to win easily is great. No matter who it was against.)
