sacker12 Posted December 24, 2006 Share Posted December 24, 2006 I just bought some Sports Specialties hats in New Orleans (as I mentioned in a previous post), and am trying to figure out how to break them in. The only hat that I am planning on actually doing this to is my SF Giants hat. It is a size 7 5/8, even though I wear a 7 1/2". However, I usually get wool hats a size too big so that I can wet them down and shrink them to my head. But, if I recall correctly, I may have heard on here some time ago that the wool in the Sports Specialties hats was treated with wax, so it would not shrink real much. FiddySicks Posted December 24, 2006 Share Posted December 24, 2006 Soak the :censored: outta that puppy. ive got three or four SS hats and the only way to break them in is to soak the sweatband with hot water and wear it till it dries, mulitple times.
