are you serious? he could slip into the end of the first maybe. He doesn't have anywhere close to the size scouts are looking for to become a first round prospect. Due to his college production he could slip into the end of the first, but top 5? That is laughable.

Nice picks. My only quip is with the Texans taking Marshawn Lynch, if they weren't willing to take Bush last year because they felt good with Domanick Williams I don't think they will now that they also have Dayne, Gado, and Chris Taylor. Not that I'm saying that any of them are the absolute answer for their running game but I don't think an RB tops their priority list. The only way I could see the Texans going with an RB is if Peterson was still available, which I sincerely doubt.

And as for Troy Smith, the only way that I think he'll end up being drafted in the first round is if he goes to Jacksonville. Although I'm not sure how Jags fans would take that if he beats the Gators on Monday.

Id personally like to see Tampa grab Jarrett over Johnson. IMO, Jarrett has better potential to be a Keyshawn-like possession reciever than Johnson does. And at this point thats exactly what we need.

I would be ok with Levi Jones if the Bills pick him. They may be more desperate for a LB if Fletcher goes for Free Agency.

You can't take Levi Jones from the Bengals?! <_<

I hope you meant Levi Brown :P

I'll take either of them ^_^

6. Washington (5-11) Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson

There's no way the Skins take a DL first round. They already have Phillip Daniels, Cornelius Griffin, and up- and-comer Kedrick Golston. They need a DB like Leon Hall.

err...Domanick Davis? And don't forget about Wali Lundy who had success in a couple games this year.

Although I do agree with you, OB33, they have a crowded backfield.

I like this mock a lot, though I think the Packers should take Leon Hall because the Packers are in need of a cornerback (they could move Woodson to safety) and I think the Bucs should take Gaines Adams since Simeon Rice might be out the door this year.

I thought Denver got the Skins' first round pick?

Last year, homeboy. Also because the Redskins end picking so high in the draft, their third round pick is good enough to satisfy the conditions of the Duckett trade. Had the 'Skins' pick been above a certain number (I don't know what number that was though), Denver and Washington would have had to have swapped number one picks in this draft.

Not only was this trade complicated, it was completely asinine, as Duckett sat inactive or didn't play in like 6 games and when he was in, he didn't do :censored:.

Texans Domanick Davis legally changes his name

The scary thing his he isn't the first NFL player to change his last name this season. But yeah, I completely forgot about Lundy who had a good year, especially considering he was a 6th rounder. (Although I think he should've gone higher.

I would think that the Chiefs would take Troy Smith in the first round if he was there. They have to address the QB position sooner or later, and there is a guy who is a proven winner and will be put down in the draft because of something like size, which is a legit concern, but dosen't mean as much as a velvet paining of a whale and a dolphin getting it on if the kid can win and has the intangibles. Smith has a cannon and mobility and makes smart decisions and is worthy of the pick. Trent Green is old and injury prone and maybe Damon Huard will get the job, but Brodie Croyle is not the answer in the future. This is a team that has not had a high draft position in a long while and the opportunity to get a franchise Heisman quarterback in the late stages of the First round is one that will not come around in a very long while.

That said. We will give the Raiders or the Lions anything and anyone except Larry Johnson for this Russell fella. Boy do I hope he does not become a Raider. Man that would suck. One more year JaMarcus. One more year.

To whoever said Washington won't address the Defensive Line this year may be very mistaken. Their corners (while they have horrible depth) are very adequate. Plus you have Sean Taylor at safety. A nice pass rusher, for a team with the fewest sacks in the league may help out that secondary. I think defensive line is a much more pressing need than the secondary, and Gaines Adams is FAR better than any player in the secondary that theyc ould take at that time.

Also I think you are crazy if you want Jarrett over Johnson. CJ is a freak. Possibly the best receiving prospect.... ever. He has it all. If he didn't have Reggie Ball throwing to him in college, CJ would have been even more lights out than he already is.

As for the Bucs taking Adams over Johnson.... I considered this as it is a more pressing need, but CJ is too talented to pass up. BPA and would ignite a less than stellar offense.

I agree that my Lynch to Texans pick is sketchy. I have a feeling his stock is going to rise, and I feel he could be a top 10 prospect. Domanick Dav.... I mean Williams is injury prone and a tad washed up. Ron Dayne is nothing more than a system guy and may not even be back, and Wali Lundy will never be a franchise back. I think Lynch and Williams, with Lundy as a third down type of guy would make for an awesome backfield, take the pressure off Carr, and open up their game. As tempting as a Lynch pick may be for Houston, I do think that a more realistic option may be a safety, as it is a very pressing need ala LaRon Landry.

As for the Cheifs. I agree that Croyle is not the answer, I think he is extremely overrated. That said I'm not sure the Cheifs would want to bring in another first day quarterback just a year after they drafted Croyle. I see them sticking with Green and having Croyle back him up for a little while.

The Cheifs have some glaring needs (O-Line, receiver, defense is still shaky). I feel this year they will try and address those before they think about QB. It isn;t out of the realm of possibility though, that if Troy Smith's stock goes up that they could target him.

Raiders should trade down and grab Troy Smith and the 49ers should draft LaRon Landry

Did you even read my mock draft? Landry was taken before the 49ers picked. And why would the Raiders trade out of the #1 pick to take a player that they could take with their second round pick in my mock?

At least read my post, think about it logically, and then post.
