Snazel
Ack, that jersey makes my eyes burn."Swooshes" and curves do not belong on a hockey jersey, neither do cartoon characters. It's supposed to be a "logo", not some cartoonish drawing a frustrated artist made on his computer. This looks like "Elmer Fudd" in a Roman Halloween costume. fufkin
Now you can add another Binghamton Senators related logo:

huggermugger
Well here it is.After going to the game I realize that the critique of it's too "cartooney" doesn't really make sense. Everyone in the arena has the other cartoon logo on. They sold a black jersey with a rangers style diagonal Senators which I was told sold nothing. AHL games are attended by kids as much as adults which is why you see so many cartooney logos. A Canadiens style C or a Bruins B would never sell in the minor leagues. Lee.
It's a solid minor league logo, so all of these other MSPaint Superstars who are going out of their way to be asshats about it can go eat some paste. Good work.I can't help but think, though, that on that abortion of a jersey, that a thin black outline would help it pop out a bit more.
KCScout76
First off, congratulations! It's got to be a cool feeling to see your work in use.Huggermugger,I like the change up with your logo - it's nice to have your work used. It will be a nice change and if the fans like it, you'll see it more and more.Change is hard for some, it takes time. If change is being sought and the Senatorsfans are wanting it, they will likely embrace your logo and you'll see it more.Sterling is a graphic designer, who's work is now the jersey of the Manitoba Moose, though he was hired specifically to make the logo change different from the Cartoonmoose they once had, the fans wanted change (as well as the organization) and theyembraced his work. By the way, Sterling is a wonderful guy and a great graphic artist!!!God Bless Sterling!!!I happen to agree with Phil - your work looks good and it would look better on the otherjersey but it still has the potential to catch on with the fans. I don't dislike this version of the jersey,it seems to me it would look better on the classic senator's jersey. How about whipping up a version for the boards and let's see what it would look like.Again - Congrats and I hope the weekend is successful one!!! You Da Man huggermugger! KCScout76
Guest
Huggermugger, I like your Senators logo. It's an appropriate minorleaguification of Ottawa's original, and I prefer it to the other Binghamton one. I hope they switch to it full-time. I like it, though not with the new logo on it.
CubsFanBudMan
Congrats on being the latest who posts on these boards to get a jersey on the field/ice/court.It's quite an accomplishment. In my book the logo is an upgrade.

mudbug33
the head logo is the best in the bunch, the jerseys are not doing it for me , if you kept their current jerseys with your head logo it would be awesome, My opinion, congrats and welcome to the club. I have designed jerseys for 2 teams and the Anniversary logo for one. I did the Mudbugs annv logo and annv. jersey. who knew the annv jersey would be a hot seller
youcan'tseeme
Here is my original Jersey design with the original primary logome likes that one 100% more then the plain head, the shoulders look awesome! if they used that it'd be tank. I think the thing about it being cartoony is thefact it'sa person and not an animal like most cartoon logos. for the 1 they picked i stand by my staement that it would make an amazing football logo. as for the orignal design here its beautiful, what didn'y they like about it? Snazel
Hugger, my words were far too harsh. My apologies for that.I don't like this work, not at all. But what does it matter really? I am not a professional like you, heck I can't even coordinate a simple wardrobe for the office. I'm just a putz with an opinion, a dime-a-dozen.Just so we're clear, I am not some 'Troll' that developed this moniker, just to bash people. I am just new to the forum. I know in other forums, some nerds run to an "alt" to hide who they are when they want to get venomous. That is not the case here. I just wanted to make that clear, in case you were wondering.Anyway, my apologies. I don't like your hockey jersey designs, but then again, I am not out there trying to sell them and get them to market. That's a whole different ballgame, and my opinions don't reflect anything but an old hockey fan, who sees jerseys going off the deep end in terms of color and design. So for what its worth, (and not much I know), I want to express, that I regret being so harsh and also want to congratulate you on getting your work on the ice. Sodboy13
In the context of your intended uni design, the logo comes off a lot better. The only suggestion I could make for improvement would be to make the chevrons (?) on the sleeves contrast with the stripe, instead of blend in. In fact, your logo comes off better as a stand-alone logo, too. But with that swooshy jersey... it just doesn't click. Shame they didn't go with your design. One question: is the Senator's body in your original concept supposed to form a "V," as part of the commemoration of the team's 5th anniversary? huggermugger
The v shape is actually supposed to reflect a Roman bust.

Maybe not an I-Stars (but hey they're division rivals).
Francis10
I like it... definite upgrade over the HGH-enhanced current BingoSen with the freakishly large gums. HM's version, though still a cartoon character, conveys the gravitas that should come with the notion of a Roman Senator. I see all the Disney comments but to me, the style is much more reminiscent of Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars). I'd be curious to hear if that was an influence. Congrats on bringing the project to completion!
