New Binghamton Senators Logo

For an AHL team, that logo is fitting, and certainly an upgrade over the previous one. This cartoon-ish style won't exist in major leagues though. But it must be a great feeling having a team use your logo, its a great designed logo. :)

PS. It would look fabulous if it was the black Sens jersey, but I don't think Binghamtom uses that though.

Tell that to the Cleveland Indians.

Here is my original Jersey design with the original primary logo

test.jpg

I realy like these but minus the head only logo, maybe move that to shoulder, and swap gold and red on the alt and that is what they should use and wear! period!

Yeah, maybe change it to be overtly racist, then it might fly. It worked for Cleveland.

Now while Cleveland's identity isn't the most PC, does the fact that you're a Tigers fan have anything do to with it? I can perfectly understand if not.

Nope. I'm a Detroiter, but not particularly a Tigers fan. At least not for the past three or four years.

Not because of that, but around then. I was gradually losing interest in sports anyway. Then I got divorced, and my priorities were shuffled. Part of that was realizing that I didn't have an emotional attachment to teams or sports anymore. I still read the sports pages every day, and watch the odd game now and then. I still enjoy the storylines, and to some degree root for and against teams and players. It's just at a much greater distance now.

If this happens, they'll join the growing list of AHL teams that look better than their parent clubs.

The Senators will unveil this logo as a third jersey on the old black Ottawa jerseys this Friday night, and will switch to the logo full time next season.

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

I'm gonna raise my eyebrow just a little bit on this one, given the history of "it's my sister's best friend's boyfriend"-style stories that have popped up in regards to dupe accounts in the past. But that's just me as the skeptic.

Be skeptical if you want, that's fine.

Just like the NHL AHL teams could not change their logos for this season because of the Edge unveiling. In fact they couldn't even have third jersys at all. Uuuuuunless there was a loophole.

You had to have used the logo in the past and you could not put the uniform up for sale at all. This new Senator head was worn for two games last season, this year it will be worn 10 times November 9th being the first. Next year....

If you need more proof, venture into either of the two Senators stores in Binghamton. They have converted about 70% of their merchandise to the new Senator head. Everything from novelty pucks to clocks, t-shirts, polos, backpacks, almost everything.

Just not the jerseys, yet.

Drip, drip, drip. Is something leaking?

Ummm....what? While I can't think of any AHL teams changing at this late hour, I know a couple NHL teams, such as Washington and Ottawa, were allowed to change their logos with the EDGE change.

In fact I can't think of another season in which more teams have changed their logos heading into one season...

Boston, Columbus, Tampa Bay, San Jose, Ottawa, Vancouver, Washington

Oh, no. I wasn't expressing skepticism at the info.

Actually you're right about the NHL.

But he was told that those were the rules for the AHL this year.

And I know alot of people are skeptical when someone gives info and then says "my friends boyfriend's aunt told me."

But trust me when I say I know the actual designer. I know him very very well.

I know him almost as well as I know myself.
