i doubt it because its holographic. but with computers now a days anything is possible

i hate when people ask if they can switch stickers from one cap to another because its not as crisp as they would like

my district puts them on the bottom of the cap, so they dont ruin the bills, and every day i get someone whinning that its not on top. then i have to go through the whole thing about it ruining caps and not everyone digs them on top.

will Minor League Baseball be switching to the new poly caps as well?

I got my new Syracuse cap with the new logo they unveiled in November and it's 100% wool with a grey underbrim... makes me think all MiLB caps will be the same.

Why do people keep the size sticker on the caps anyway?

because rappers did it.

i think its just to prove its legit too.

i cant stand seeing someone come in with a black on black yankees and the logo on the back a flat red/white/blue MLB logo(signiture of a fake NE)

I read somewhere that it's because it makes it look like you just bought the hat. Like rich rappers, they wear it once and there's a new one. It's to make believe that it's brand new... even though it's clearly not. And I bet if you asked 95% of people with the sticker on their brim, they wouldn't know why they're doing it, aside from it being trendy.

atleast New Era doesnt make hats with the big tags sticking out of one of the eyelits. wearing a hat with the tag still on is way worse imo.

that would be craptastic American Needle/Mitchell and Ness Caps. its even worse to see someone with the tag still hanging off it while they wear it.

If I worked at Lids, I'd get so frustrated.

If somebody said to me "Can I get another sticker?" I'd probably say something like "Are you buying the hat, or the sticker" or I'd charge them 5$ for a different sticker.

I'd flip my lid. (Pun definitely intended)

i just tell them i cant do that, because everyone would be having me change stickers.

The trend of keeping the stickers or even the tag on your hat and not bending the brim makes you look like you just shoplifted the hat, being too cool and trendy to actually pay for it and thus "sticking it to the man."

How about those...

Mets?

Packers?

Rangers?

Knicks?

Titans?

Heh, I used to do that all the time. It was almost always the case of where a customer had been in the store for a fu*kin hour and made me pull down what felt like our entire stock of hats to find one they liked best. Then theyd bitch that they didnt want it because the sticker wasnt "clean" enough. I usually swapped stickers not because I truely wanted to appease them, but because I knew by doing it itd get them the hell outta my store that much quicker. And nothing annoyed me more than having some dude looking at hats for close to an hour and not buying anything because the sticker wasnt straight enough. <_<

Honestly, if it didnt aid in helping the store workers find sizes (which is the original intent) I woulda pulled those damn things off every hat before I stocked them.

And, can you be a racist if you are African/Asian-American?

yeah, just you can get away with it if you're black, asian or latino. I aint a racist, cus it wouldn't get me nowhere, it's a waste of thought.

personally i dont bend the bill on my hats i never have and yes, i am african-american if that has anything to do with it and no i dont leave the sticker on my caps and the reason why people do it is not to "stick it to the man" but is just a fad, i dont look down at european-americans who bend their hats or cut the rip in the end to make it look worn i see it as their fad. and also theres no right or wrong way to wear a hat people do what the like or what is their style and i belive we shouldnt critisize people on that cause its the way they feel most comfortable wearing it.

Problem there is, bending the brim isn't a fad, it helps shape the cap to your head. The head isn't round, it's ovoid, and bending the brim gets the hat to sit considerably more comfortable.

And honestly, I don't care what color you are. Not bending the brim just makes you look like a tool, regardless of race.

Unless you're over the age of 25, in which case you look like a moron who doesn't understand that once you get the hat (bought or stolen), you should (1) remove the damned sticker, and (2) wear the hat with the visor across your forehead, rather than cocked over to one side or another. If you're going to wear a hat like that, why not just cut the damned visor off, or wear a yarmulke for christ's sakes...

Oh, yeah...

Get off my lawn! :cursing::D

They have tags on the inside, my friend. Tell the workers to look for them, and commence to pullin'!

he use to work at Lids. it does help you find the size a bit quicker. its a pain in the ass to have to look inside the hat to find out what size it is. especially if you have a store full of people and your the only person in the store at the time.

Yeah, honestly I wish all caps had a sticker on the top of the bill that told you what size it is. That's my biggest peeve with looking for those Twins Franchise caps is that I have to pull down the whole rack of the style I'm looking for, flip them over, and read the price-tag sticker (or worse, open them all up and look at the back of the sweatband) before I (hopefully) find one that is XL. I'm sure it's worse if you actually work in the store, and weren't just an obsessive cap person like me who changes caps more than socks.

Its enough to make me want to wear only adjustable hats... and that's just not right!

I'm sure he does.

I have, however, a whole rack of several hats that are formerly 7 1/2s and 7 5/8 that are now 7 1/4. They made good decoration.

Though, mine have always taken over 2 years to have that happen.

I'm a 7 1/4. I'll PM you my address. :P

I just got my first New Era (minor league, Corpus Christi Hooks) this week, and I'm...well...hooked. I wear it backwards (unlike my Franchises) because it's so tall...but I think the wool is amazing. It rained a like a @#$%& here yesterday and I thought I had ruined my hat, but I wore it while it dried and it fits even better today. I'll give one of the new ones a try, eventually.

That's not my impression. I've always been told that this came from the inner cities, where many folks live in poverty and clothes mostly hand-me-downs -- hence all the way-too-baggy clothes before it started being marketed.

So why leave the stickers and tags on a cap? Because it shows that it's new, not handed down from your big brother and that you were able to afford it.

It's a sign of pride.

Shoplifting? Nice stereotype.
