Please forgive me if I am delusional or way behind the times... but..

I am sitting here watching the TX / WSH St game on tv... Has Washington State always been maroon? I would have bet they were purple and silver.

Am I crazy?

Ah...just found it:

"The first school colors were pink and blue, by the first WSU President when he was so in awe of the blue and pink sunset.  Research has not uncovered the exact date when the official colors changed, although Crimson and Gray are thought to have been the colors by 1916, when the "Indians" went to the first annual Rose Bowl."

Pink and Blue...nice.

Thank god they abandoned THAT color combo.

Thanks.. I guess I was getting Washington U and Washington State confused. I'm a big dumb animal folks.

The university of North Dakota's official colors are green, white, and pink... its supposed to be like the prarie rose, the state flower.. pink is never used in ANYTHING though, just something that has been there since the U was founded I guess.

I think we covered this a while back, but the original Penn State colors were Dark Pink and Black.

Whatever Dark Pink is...

(I don't even know, and I'm obsessed with this crap)

Dark pink would seem to be more of a dark rose color I would think, which I guess in some small way is somewhat close to what they wear now or used to wear... maybe I'm delusional.

EDIT: This is close to what I mean by "rose" (hopefully if there is gray around it, the subtraction effect won't taint the color.)
