I'd change the numbers to green with a gold outline and then black, so that they are consistent with the stripes on the jersey and shorts (breezers?) I decided to do a concept one for the Pittsburgh Penguins. I just wanted to say that your type-o here is awesome. Christ-man would be a badass superhero with some crazy super powers. For the concept: I agree with what bringbackthevet said completely. I dont know enough about hockey to know that that is the maple leafs font, but after it has been pointed out and I can do some research though, I can echo what astrobull said. Also, the numbers dont look (to me) to be the penguins style. what you should be doing here is coloring a penguins current jersey and adding shamrocks, not changing their nameplate font and number font. fix that up and it will be nice. drevel Posted March 1, 2007 Author Share Posted March 1, 2007 Hello All,I changed the font from the Leafs to the currents Pens one and then I also made sure the numbers are same color stripes as the jersey black, gold, green. Again this is just for fun, I would never think a NHl team would do this. I know the Pistons use the Red jersey for valentines day. I thought it would be cool to do. Thanks for the C+C guys. I'd bid on it in an auction. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." It is a home uni right ? What about changing the triangle to the clover that you use on the shoulders. Maybe use the Pens alt. logo for one shoulder and make up a special patch to commemorate St. Patrick's day on the other, a simple design. How about some celtic style fonts for the player's number and name. Just some ideas. Nice idea though The Wolves do two jerseys each year one a theme jersey and the other and St. Patrick's day green even with an altered logowith a irish feel. The Bulls wear green unis around that time last year and the Sox wear green for the halfway point to St. Patrick's day. So why can't other major pro sports leagues do this? tBBP Posted March 3, 2007 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Not that I'm that big of a hockey fan (I like watching it on TV, but the games are MUCH better in person, although the only one I've seen in person is my hometwon Pensacola Ice Pilots--when they were still winning division titles and conference championships and stuff, but that's beside the point), but I do have the (mis)fortune of living in Pittsburgh now, so I sorta have an insider point-of-view, so allow me to offer some points for consideration, if I may...First of all, this would be an absolutely GREAT idea for the Penguins. I don't know how deep the STP Day tradition runs in other cities, but 'round here, it's like the second-biggest celebration of the year (the other, of course, being the Steelers season-opener), and the WHOLE PLACE GETS PAINTED GREEN--even the PEOPLE (I am NOT playing about that). What I'm getting at here is this: this concept would DEFINITELY fly, and if those jerseys were to be auctioned off, the team would DEFINITELY make some (much-needed) cheddar-cheese off them (maybe enough to help contribute to this supposed new arena they're trying to get pushed and built). So, having said that, may I offer some suggestions?First off, I think you'd do good to use a green jersey instead of white (for obvious reasons), comparisons to the Stars be damned (that's just an unfortunate coincidence). Also, try sticking a shamrock, or the outline of one, behind that penguin logo. Or, you could try this: stick a leprechaun hat on that penguin's head.
