SabreGuy
I have one of the New Era Cooperstown caps, the one made out of the rougher wool, with the classic Giants logo (not the one the Mets would later adopt). I keep looking for another one on eBay, because I'm wearing it out and really want a replacement.I have one from that collection. It's the Cleveland Indians version with the faux-1954 to 1957 cap logo on it. (The New Era version of that logo is a bit different from the actual logo of that time, as far as I can tell. Looks more like the modern Chief Wahoo, smaller, with the wishbone C.) I believe they were calling it "Melton Wool" or something, if it's the same one you're talking about. I loved it, but since I'm an insane cap guy, since I loved it so much, I refused to wear it too much for fear of ruining it. And so it's currently sitting in one of the boxes that I store my hat collection in.I did buy a 5950 cooperstown version of the same cap, however, and wear it quite frequently. I'd say that one is my second favorite cap to wear (after my nicely broken in 2002 Indians alt cap). Actually, I guess that's the thing about 5950's... the good ones can be your favorite cap, and the bad ones will annoy you forever (I'm looking at you, 75% of the 5950's in my collection!) Korkie
Thanks, Amare, for the link. Unfortunately I am an 8 1/2 (at least) fitted and they only go to an 8. I still might buy them at that price just to have them. Don
Gold: Silver: Bronze: me wearing Gold: i love soft top fitted hats, the Silver is a Nats franchise fit i bought the day they came out with them when they announced the Nats were coming, i wore that thing for 2 years straight, taking it off at night of course. now its shot to hell. i hated the old batting practice hats they didnt ever fit right, but ive fallen in love with my new Nats batting practice hat. i'd love to have a Caps hat in the top 3 but until they come up with a good one, im stuck. oh i tried taking that picture of me myself...yeah im not a very good self photographer. FiddySicks
Sure, ill do the podium style as well on this one.GOLDI got this aht in Pensacola, FL about three years ago and havent found a better hat since. Best part is ive somehow found a way to keep the white mesh cleanSILVERMy Angels in the Outfield hat. I like the old school design alright, but best part of it is that it fits better than any hat I own. BRONZEI looked for this hat for a good five years before finding it online and biting the bullet and accually ordering a hat from a web site (I hate ordering hats, its way too hit or miss on if the size is gonna be correct). I got pretty lucky and it fits really well. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Don
love the slovenska hat! dont know anyone who owns that one, and i agree with bucfan, every hat fits differently, even in the same size, i dont order hats off the internet, altho i did ebay buy a Caps franchise fit one..cuz theyre usually pretty standard. i actually tried on 3 different Nats batting practice hats of the same size before finding one that actually fit right. steiny_ramone
In winter, my favourite is my vintage Penguins toque. It's of the same style as this Jets one:Here's a pic of me wearing it. I didn't think I'd ever see someone wear an Umpire's cap. Besides me, of course.I always wanted the NL version of that...As far as my "favorite," no chance I could pick even a gold, silver, bronze. I traditionally will get a new hat, and it will be the "favorite" for a while - meaning it gets worn a bit more in the rotation than the others. However, there are still about ten hats I wear on a regular basis depending on the time of year. Probibly summer there are around ten baseball hats in a rotation (usually five Cubs hats, and five "others"), Fall and into the winter I've got around ten football/hockey hats that rotate (mostly Chicago Bears, Bemidji State and Minnesota Wild). In addition to these, I've got a couple Vanderbilt hats, a couple Bemidji High School hats, and a few various hats that I wear. Basically, I wear a different hat every day... Some fit better than others, but I still don't have that true "favorite."Moose
