Gothamite
I love the "New Timer" caps from American Needle.See more teams hereThey're really amazing - instead of cardboard, the bill has a leather insert, so it's very flexible. The idea is that you can fold the cap in half and stick it in your back pocket. I like to throw it in my messenger bag, and unlike all my other caps it comes out perfect, not bent.So far, most of the baseball they have is Cooperstown, but I'm hopeful that they'll expand the line to include more contemporary caps. Hoopskid
My favorite that I actually wore almost everyday a few years back is the blue Sacramento kings classic hat. It's the Kansas city omaha kings one. I can't find a pic now, but i loved that hat.
BallWonk
First off, I surprised myself that these mostly turned up Nationals, since I have more caps than my wife has shoes, and I don't even particularly like the Nats curly W as a logo. Still, of the ridiculous number of caps on the shelf in my closet, these are the ones I've worn almost exclusively in the last year, which I suppose by any honest definition makes them my favorites. Electoral College WinnerI picked up a Roswell Rockets cap from Ebbets in '97. I'm on my second one. Any cap you wear until it wears out, and then you replace it and you're still wearing that one out a decade later, that's probably your favorite cap, whether you want to admit it or not.Popular Vote WinnerI just love the DC logo. Like most white men, red ballcaps make me look like a pasty-faced zombie. But with this beauty, I don't care what a fool it makes me look like. Though if anyone has one of these in blue, size 7-1/2 ...Third-Party CandidateI wore one of these all winter, and with its thick flannel it's the best cold-weather ballcap I've ever had. Comfortable down to and just below freezing. Plus it got the attention of the Nats' GM when I ran into him on the street one day in January.I'd like to have put all sorts of my more interesting vintage or minor-league caps on this list, but as much as I like those caps I just hardly ever wear them anymore. Shumway
Bronze: Angels Brown Marlin Franchise...side story: About this time last year, I went to Pittsburgh for St. Patty's Day(I'm leaving on friday for this year's extravanganza). I was wearing a different Angels hat(Nike Ligature Flex...state of cali logo on the front), and I got drunk and left it in my friend's room. The next morning, we went to a mall out there, and I saw this cap, and just bought it. My logic was, my Angels hat is missing(although I knew I'd get it later in the day), so why not get a replacement for a bit? Unfortunately, working at a printing company this summer basically ruined my cap...sweat stains, ceiling tile crap, dirt, chemicals etc.Silver: St. Louis Cardinals franchise cap. I bought this for $8 at the beginning of playoffs merely on the basis that I don't have a Cards cap yet(they're my 2nd team behind the Halos...Edmonds is my fav. player). Wearing this hat for a few weeks paid off, as they won the series(sorry Joel). Similarly, in 2002, I bought an Authentic Angels jersey, and they won the series. Anyone want me to pick up some merchandise for this year? Gold: Angels Cooperstown Flex(this isn't exactly it, but it looks the same). This thing rarely leaves my head if I don't feel like fixing up the ol' hair. Honorable Mention/Platinum: Bauer HH5000....if I wouldn't look ridiculous(look, no "e" in that word), I'd wear my helmet at all times.

FiddySicks
Looks like an old SF Seals to me, but I could be wrong.Yeah thats what I assumed, but ive never seen that design before. I thought they only used the interlocking SF logo. And one more question for those of you who own EFF hats. Is the kinda money that you throw down for those babies really worth it? Ive been really considering picking up a Sacramento Solons or San Francisco Seals throwback (mainly beause im intrigued to see what the leather sweatband feels like), but im hesitant to spend $45 or more on something that is either going to be fairly crappy quality, or is just gonna look goofy that id never wear. BlueSky
For looks, it's my New Zealand All Blacks cap (sorry for the tiny pic, it was the only one I could find):The logo looks like this:For comfort and matching with my Archie throwback jersey, this is the winner:BTW, if you like this style of ballcap, many teams are on sale for $19.20 at Distant Replays. Go to that page and scroll down. They've even got one for you creamsicle fans. Funny to think the Bucs haven't been around long enough to warrant a one-bar mask. The new incarnation of EFF makes caps that are more uniform in construction, and therefore less authentic as reproductions, than formerly. All caps are six-panel, not eight, and all have crowns and bills that most closely match late 1940s or early 1950s caps. No more shorter bills on early century caps or higher crowns on mid-century caps. Materials and workmanship have improved, at least in the caps I've ordered, in the last year. Gone are the leather sweatbands, and all undervisors now seem to be green satin, not flannel (but the undervisors of the two caps I just bought look pretty normal, dark and not very reflective, compared to the super-reflective neon green satin under the visor of the cap I bought shortly after Ebbets relaunched itself in 2005).So when you buy EFF you get a very well built cap that is closer to authentic than anything you'll find elsewhere, but you're no longer buying a cap that can honestly be called a vintage reproduction. The cap logo (embroidery, felt, or both) will be unmatched in quality and accuracy. The EFF cap has a lower, rounder profile than most modern caps, and the flannel material is softer. Slouchy, even. It will conform to your head rather than holding its own shape. An Ebbets cap looks "old fashioned" on your head.Ebbets has regular sales, so if you see a cap you like just check back from time to time. It'll probably go on sale for a price in line with or lower than a new 5950 eventually. I highly recommend requesting a catalog; EFF is back to mailing catalogs seasonally with new products and sales. An Ebbets catalog is sort of like ballcap porn, delivered right to your mailbox every couple of months.

gueman
I got this ushanka when I was in Prague in '98. The wife hates it. But where ever I go I get asked were I got it. and that they love it. It pisses her off and makes me laugh. When I tell people Prague some ask what mall is that in. Once a PETA wacko gave me . I just told her thats why God gave us rabbits.
