Ottawa Senators red or black in RBK Edge?

I like that, but I'd rather the Senators use double-outline block numbers than whatever font that is now. Oh, and the swoosh doesn't resemble a toga at all. Wouldn't it have to be draping down from a shoulder?

Hey! We'll have none of this pointing out the obvious here!

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

At any rate, that's one of the ugliest NHL sweaters in some time. It's bad roller hockey garbage. I have no idea how it has lasted so long, especially with the laurel-leaf trim alts waiting in the wings. You'd think Ottawa would have some grassroots movement to dump it.

The problem with a white swoosh jersey is it's to plain-looking. The current red swoosh sweater has a lot of "blank" space, ie space that's not taken up by striping or logos. Since the jersey itself is red, it's not a problem. A white version, however, would look "empty."

I agree that the swoosh idea is a good one, the similarities to the toga, already pointed out, make for a genius jersey design for a Roman-themed team.

It's just that the way it's executed it won't work as a white jersey. The swoosh jersey is best left as an alternate sweater.

IMO the Senators should go with something along these lines:

Sorry for the lack of an Edge template, I haven't gotten around to converting all my concepts to them yet.

Alternate jerseys are apparently out, so thus the Sens have to choose. While I personally really like the Sens reds, I could get behind the blacks and that pattern on the whites- it would unify their look. Thanks for the white laurel leaf concept, would love to see all 3 shirts on the Edge template.

If they adopt to unify their look (ie: creating a white version of either the black or red jersey), hopefully they will keep the serpentine number font on both jerseys.

Well alternates are only out for a year. They'll be back in full force in time for the 08-09 season.
