leedsunited
Bengals HatTake a look at the logo on the back of the new Reebok Cincinnati Bengals hat.Odd, but I like what I see (what I can see of it)...The front of the hat has simple "CB" lettering that hasn't been used by the team up to this point (as far as I can tell).Anyone have any info on this? Thx!

IronChefShark
goes to show how far sports logo design has come.back then most team logos were designed by cartoonists on pen and paper, and as a result, there were many inconsistencies when the logos were reproduced on print media. nowadays these type of logos prove to be inpractical and inferior to the ones designed nowadays by graphic designers using sophisticated graphic software. Logos now come out clean, sharp, and consistent and can be reproduced flawlessly an unlimited number of times and in many different sizes and on many different medians. Gothamite
..and yet I feel that the overall quality has gone down. The renderings may be better, but there's so much less energy behind the designs. That having been said, that tiger looks like he's panicking, running away from a very large defender. bradleyrmanuel
Additionally, early Bengals-related pictures of Paul Brown show him wearing a cap with "CB" on the front much like that one. I'd be afraid people would think I was wearing a Browns cap or was a trucker though, so I'll pass on this cap.
KCScout76
I remember that logo (partially because I'm old) - It didn't look like a new logo. Seems to be updated but I can't get a good look at it - the website doesn't have a good view of it - but it's cool looking.Does looks like the Cat is being chased or running away (probably from the cop as they've had so many arrests) Kansas City Scouts (CHL) Orr Cup Champions 2010, 2019, 2021 St. Joseph Pony Express (ULL) 2023 Champions Kansas City Cattle (CL)

All for the sake of easy reproduction, we've seen a noticeable decline in logo originality and overall aesthetic.Screw the ability to cheaply embroider the damn thing on a hat or jacket. I'd kill to see a logo like the old Bengals one used in the modern sports landscape.

STL FANATIC
That's a retro Bengals logo.Used from 67-69.Is that an updated version of that logo, or is that the real one that was used?I only ask because the logo on that white helmet looks like the Bengal head logo they currently use. Also, I'm pretty sure the CB on that hat is the same font as their uniform letters. The Bengal will be runnning and his helmet will be flying off, but the Bengal will not be carrying a ball and a police officer will be chasing the Bengal.
