Don't remember why I was doing it but I noticed that if you right click and choose "Save As..." on the NBA D-League Utah Team's Header the name that comes up is "stampede_mainhdr_bg" Perhaps the new D-League team is the Utah Stampede? with a weird silky blue uniform as seen in this picture?

Edit: and as a side note...the website www.utahstampede.com is "Under construction and coming soon"

That cannot be possible since the Stampede name currently belongs to Idaho.

Unless, the Idaho Stampede is moving to Orem, Utah. Or the D-League having two teams of the same name, like the Milwaukee Admirals and the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

umm id say its a good chance Idaho is moving.

Utah was awarded an expansion team, which is not a relocated franchise.

D-League "expansion" teams have turned into re-locations in the past...

Obviously, the Utah D-League team will most likely be called Dash, Flash, Dynos, or Heroes.

Obviously you're a moron.

LMAO haha

I remember they had a few names in mind, can't recall if STAMPEDE was one. That'd be stupid with 2 teams named STAMPEDE. And a team moving? I doubt it. Stern said he wants the NBDL to grow alot, moving a team won't help.

Well, the Utah Jazz seem to be a pretty big deal in the region (there's a car dealership called "Stockton-to-Malone Chevrolet" or something), so I can see where a Jazz affiliate would draw fairly well in Salt Lake City's far south suburbs. I'm sure minor league basketball would be an acceptable diversion full of good clean fun for Utah's white and delightsome families.
