mjrbaseball
Another fun trivia fact: Milwaukee hosted nine Chicago White Sox home games in 1968 and eleven in 1969. The attendance in Milwaukee for those few games represented one-third of the total Sox home attendance in those years - don't think we'll see such numbers for the Indians (nor will we see the Indians almost move to Milwaukee).Even more fun trivia about that: One of those games at County Stadium (June 16, 1969) was the White Sox vs the Seattle Pilots, who would make Milwaukee their home the next season.(Game info at seattlepilots.com tribute site)

DG_ThenNowForever
So how much money do Miller Park and the Brewers make from this deal, and how much do the Indians and Jacob Field lose? Does MLB build in any kind of profit sharing when incidents like this take place? 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
Gothamite
Hats off to Milwaukee!! Fans of the Brewers, Indians, Angels & baseball in general... have put 19,000 in Miller Park tonight. The lower two levels look completely full!!Milwaukee IS a great baseball city! It feels like an honor that these games were chosen to be played here. It'll be weird making my first trip to a game at MP this year for Thursday afternoon's match up, but it's pretty cool. A once in a lifetime kinda moment. It's always been a great baseball city saddled with some awful teams. Nice to get a little recognition."You can't say enough about Milwaukee. I was amazed. Absolutely amazed. Nobody imagined this. It actually felt like a home game." -- Indians closer Joe BorowskiI'm proud of Beer Town. So how much money do Miller Park and the Brewers make from this deal, and how much do the Indians and Jacob Field lose? Does MLB build in any kind of profit sharing when incidents like this take place?None, None and Yes.The Brewers will not make any money on the series. Nor will the Indians and Angels lose money they would have earned on ticket sales or concessions. Major League Baseball told (Brewers Executive Vice President of Business Operations Rick) Schlesinger to keep track of his expenses as well as revenue from the series and Major League Baseball would later decide how the teams would be reimbursed. MLB representatives did not return a phone message Tuesday, but spokesman Rich Levin told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel on Monday that any shortfall of income for the series will come out of an MLB contingency fund. "They informed us to do what we needed to do to pull this off," Schlesinger said. "So that's what we worried about." http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2832830 The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
